Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Seems players can't make claims on quartz. Might want to look into that
HI, I am having a problem with dirt blocks going back to grass blocks. I have AutomaticNatureRestoration in the config for survival set to false. Is that causing it?
I dont have anything else installed that would modify the world or any (terrian makers)
Also if i turn it on now, what will happen? (farms outside of claim's) in backyard and such? Or does turning this on mean, that only if they un-claim the area, it will restore it?
Thanks for any help, as i cant figure out why there all staying dirt blocks.
@CaddoMan
You can try "[public]" instead of "<player>".
I have a small economy, and use a main server account for the transactions in the world. is it possible to have grief prevention deposit money from the land claim purchases into this server account instead of simply disappearing?
Could you make it possible to where GriefPrevention respects WorldGuard regions? So a player can't claim a WG region.
@Bullsmite
There's an addon for that: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/gpflags/
Hello, I run a server and wanted to give everyone access to a small work area, but after reading through a lot of this and watching the videos I can't seem to figure out how to do this. I know you can do /ContainerTrust <player> on a subdivision, but that is for one person. How would I give container trust to everyone? Like for new people that log in and I am not around?
I want players to be able to toggle pvp on and off in their claim. How can I do this?
Player A is not a pvper and doesn't want PvP enabled in their home.
Player B is a pvper and can defend themself easily and wants PvP enabled in their home.
edit: I'm not talking about siege mode.
Would you be able to add a specific permission to allow someone to use /trustlist in any claim? We want all our users to see any /trustlist in any claim.
Thanks! :D
Hey Tux, can you please not add blocks to player’s total when they are in creative, in a world which is not declared as creative in config? Moderators on duty (or building public infrastructure) shouldn’t get bonus blocks for using creative in a survival world.
Also, can we use 0.5, 0.1 in
TrappedCommandCooldownHours
to do minutes not hours?For some reason, the stick and gold shovel no longer work since updating. All the claims are still there, though, thank god. :P
Also, are trapped chests supposed to be protected in claims, because I'm pretty sure they're not protected for me.
Thanks :)
@ryvix
@Tux2
DERP. Thanks!
Is there a command to see admin claims? In-game, when I use the command /claimslist I only see my player claims. This also happens when I use /adminclaims, then use /claimslist.
Please advise.
I honestly find it hilarious that people who want a grief-free server don't use Grief Prevention.
It's THE best, THE only one you'd need, and I'm sticking with it to the end.
Great work, bigscary, and I hope you continue bigscary's legacy and make it even better, Tux2!
@65416516516514
Someone could make an adapter plugin that hooks into the events that grief prevention fires on claim creation to cancel creation of claims that overlap with faction/towny territory. This isn't something that I would add in the main plugin as it isn't necessary for the vast majority of users and would only serve a few users running two protection plugins.
@keytastic
Have them use /abandonclaim
@Desertive
It may need a recompile. If the plugin author doesn't respond let me know and I'll see about reviving the project.
Is the "clearPermissions()" method broken? Just noticed when I used Grief Prevention's plugin "Real Estate" that when you try to buy leased claim, the error occurs and it says this. As you can see, the error says that there's no such method.
I have 2 worlds; Main PvE world I want the settings BlockSurfaceCreeperExplosions: true and OtherExplosions to true. My PvP world I'd like only to block Creeper explosions and leave TnT open for any level.
Would this be possible?
@keytastic
Read the Player Commands section above. You are probably looking for /AbandonClaim
Is there any way to give players permission to delete their own claims?
I use factions and Towny. I am the owner but just now I was able to place a chest and claim land inside of faction territory.
Now im guessing if you normlly cant build in faction territory (non-faction members) you wouldnt be able to claim this chunk anyway.
Are there any kind of mechanisims in place to prevent users and or admins from claiming an area inside faction owned land? or inside of towny towns? These plugins offer there own type of plots.
