Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

@bigscary
It turns out that deleting all the words from bannedWords.txt results in no one being allowed to chat! I had to give everyone griefprevention.spam to allow players to chat. You need to rework some of this!
@MotheMan
I think you can revert to 12.5, 12.4.1, or 12.4 without losing claims in flat-file mode. If you go back to 12.3, you'll lose your claims. If you upgrade to, say, 12.5, I think they'll come back.
Did you restart your server after removing the banned words from the file? Did you check the file after restarting to make sure they were really deleted?
EDIT: You can also give the players the permission griefprevention.spam to bypass the new banned words feature.
So due to the problem i'm having described below, i changed to an older version of GreifPrevention, and that deleted every single claim on the server. Is that what you expect to happen when you downgrade?
@Bobcat00
I tried that, but it still does it.
I have been looking at your code from GitHub. I cannot get it to compile because the only versions for Bukkit/Spigot I can find seem to be missing some files that you use.
We are on a server and are interested in letting people who afk still claim blocks even if they are in liquid, in a vehicle, or not moving. The code is on line 68 in DeliverClaimBlocksTask.java. I made some changes but like I said above I cannot compile.
Any suggestions?
@MotheMan
It looks like you can just delete all the words from bannedWords.txt and restart your server. Don't delete the file, just remove the words from the file.
Hey I'm running the latest version of this and people have started to receive messages to 'moderate their language'. Now i can understand why you added this but this is not something i want on my server. Is there a way to turn this off?
Does these normal?
Is there a way for me to only allow a player to build inside his claim? A way to prevent building/destroying in the Wilderness?
@dfdgsdfg
Fixed in latest.
@frol1
Maybe they just accept the risks and shrug their shoulders when somebody griefs the hell out of the server? I don't know, though. :)
@Etakien
/permissiontrust gives players permission to share their permission level with others (it makes them "managers").
@theboss192
There's a config option for that - creeper surface explosions. If you turn off that setting, your server will look like crap after a few days unless you have another plugin to autorepair the damage, like CreeperHeal.
@GodsDead
Then GP isn't intentionally resetting block counts. I don't know how to fix a problem I don't yet understand. I'll keep thinking about it?
@Digitalbamph
The tree mod is on spigotmc.org, but you have to be logged in to see it. That's a very stupid site rule they have. You'll have to register first, then log in, then look at the plugins posted by me and you will see it there.
@ozamatheus
I can't remember that far back, you're talking about more than a year ago, I think? If there's no version specifically labelled as for Minecraft 1.7.2, try using the latest version of GP which was made for an earlier version of Minecraft. Regardless, I don't investigate issues with super old builds - I just don't have enough free time.
@Bobcat00
They will be on your next reboot/reload.
@bigscary
The old claim files are still there. They weren't deleted after the conversion.
@bigscary
I tried version 9.1 and not loaded, just crash when starting the server. I do not understand a lot of versions, but version 9.1 is for version 1.7.9 and I use 1.7.2. I opened a ticket with details. I hope you answer one day. thank you
I love the ease of use that this addon has provided. though i was a lil confused at first on how to use it. im glad you had videos posted. I was bummed when i couldn't find the tree mod for bucket
@bigscary
That is enabled. There are no logs of this happening, yet I have more reports of claim blocks being reset for no reason. How do you propose to fix this?
Problem: Creepers Don't Damage World?
Hi, great plugin, really great!!
Is there a way to fix this? I would like the world to have creepers damage surroundings when they explode, like normal, except for inside players claims. Thanks.
& This server is running CraftBukkit version git-Spigot-fdc1440-53fac9f (MC: 1.8.8) (Implementing API version 1.8.8-R0.1-SNAPSHOT) with [GriefPrevention] Loading GriefPrevention v12.4.1
Okay, so if you do /trustlist in a claim... it gives you four trust options? so how do I give manage trust?
@bigscary yeah I get that, I've just seen some infinity servers that have your epic plugin. I wonder how they manage it???
Update 12.6.1 is here! GriefPrevention is rated #2 on the Spigot site. Please help it reach #1 by leaving a 5-star review. :) Thanks!
@Bobcat00
The old files will be deleted automatically.
@frol1
If infinity gives players new ways to change the world, those ways will probably sidestep any anti-grief.
@interbot
Just set the chest claim radius to -1 in the config file, and new players won't get automatic claims. But that also means many new players will be griefed, and then likely quit your server in response. You could possibly give them a golden shovel to start, but many will lose it before they claim land.
@GodsDead
There's already a log entry when GP intentionally resets claim blocks due to a player having more land claimed than he has claim blocks available (leading to a negative total). To see it, though, you have to enable "debug" log entries in your config file.
@ozamatheus
9.1 is the recommended version for MC 1.7.10, not the version you mentioned.
@ManBeastPigDev
Release stream. I changed the claim data storage code more than a week ago (and about 1000 downloads ago), and haven't heard any complaints about problems. :) So I'm calling it good to go.
Is 12.6.1 a release stream or a beta?
@GodsDead
I have pirates server too! :-D
