Welcome to the sign tutorial. The first step is to make sure you are either OP or have the permission 'extraboost.sign.create'. Then place a sign in the desired location, that looks like this:

[Extra-Boost]
   Poison
       30
-------------------
This sign would give the poison potion effect to whoever clicked the sign for 30 seconds. The 30 and 'Poison' can be switched out with, say, 'Regeneration', or 'Jump'. In addition, everyone who uses the signs must either have OP or have the permission 'extraboost.sign.use'.
