Extended Chat
Extended Chat is an extremely simple but powerful plugin that allows you to break the barriers of minecraft chat! When you do /lc or /longchat it opens up a command block gui where you can type as much as you like. There is no chat limit. This also works for long commands.
Example
Without Extended Chat:
With Extended Chat:
Technically there is no set limit but this is as much as I could show.
Commands
- /lc
- /longchat
Both do the same thing.
Permissions
- ec.longchat
- ec.lc
Both permissions allow the same thing.
Tutorial
Metrics
This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org: A unique identifier The server's version of Java Whether the server is in offline or online mode The plugin's version The server's version The OS version/name and architecture The core count for the CPU The number of players online The Metrics version Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.
You can see all the data collected by Metrics once Hidendra starts accepting applications again.

@marubal21
In what way?
@Takkantis
I'm glad the problem could be fixed.
Works great 1.7.10
@thequestingbeast
Sadly no, that would have to be a mod. I can't remove the chat limit client side.
@Takkantis
Is your server running on 1.7.10?
Edit: I read the error more. You're running 1.7.9. May I suggest trying 1.7.10? This error is my fault because I built with 1.7.10 instead of 1.7.9 or lower. I apologize.
Here's the error I get. Hope this helps, looking forward to your plugin. Server version and plugins at bottom.
Sorry about all the errors guys. I didn't know there were any, there weren't when I tested it nor when I use it on my servers. If you could paste the full strack traces/errors, I could solve the problem.
Just quessing, I think it could be the craftbukkit version you guys are using. (Or Towny Chat?)
this plugin is a great idea, i would love to use it, but it interferes with TownyChat.
@CyberGod101
I don't even have towny installed yet and i have the internal error please help ! ?
Same here. Internal Error when using /longchat.... /lc gets intercepted by Towny Plugin
When i try to type the command in it says an internal error occurd while trying to perform this command?! help :D
Does this have to have a command? I would love to use this for anything typed on my server but we use herochat. Is there away to make it apply to anything typed?
@22vortex22
Turns out it's not allowed for another person to post it ahead of time in the comment section for those that are likewise impatient. My link was just provided as-is. No-one was entitled to click it. But, of course, as is my experience with any moderator-based community ever, no matter what I have to say on the issue, they are right and I am wrong, period.
What's more troubling is that I can't find any concise rules on posting anywhere, at least beyond avoiding "drama". There's a few gigantic articles containing guidelines for posting projects, continuing abandoned projects (both articles for project authors), avoiding "drama" in the forums, and then some stuff about how precautious the team is about executable files. All this information is hidden in the ambiguously named "Knowledge Base" link camouflaged at the top of this page.
So there you have it. Anyway, thanks for the plugin.
@FedeLasse
As long as it's using the exact same source I'm fine with it. However if it isn't I would ask you to remove it. Thank you for providing a link to people that don't want to wait.
EDIT: Weird his comment was removed.
@mineman1427
That's because bukkit needs to approve the file.
I don't see a download link.
