Eternal Ice
Bring the ice to your front door with Eternal Ice! This plugin features a new chunk generator - one that generates a frost-barren wasteland!
Newest Version
Version 1.06: Clay pockets in lakes, beneath the ice.
Features:
- Ability to set EternalIce as the default world! (see related page)
- Hilly terrain with a snow layer on top of grass
- Countless underground caves and ravines
- Huge frozen lakes
- Mineral veins, just like in the normal Minecraft
- Smaller amount of trees makes resources a little sparser
Is there anything you want to tell me? A bug, a suggestion, or something you would like changed? Feel free to make a ticket, even if it's something small like a typo. :)
Installation
Download the latest jar file and drop it in your server's plugin folder. Give your server a restart and you are good to go! The EternalIce world can be generated using the steps in the "Setting as default world" page or by using MultiVerse. The configuration file for EternalIce contains some options that are obsolete and are not used - no explanation about them is thus needed either.
Integration with MultiVerse
This plugin supports world creation with MultiVerse. To use Eternal Ice for a world, create your world with the EternalIce chunk generator (no spaces). Then, you should be able to teleport to your new world.
1:7:9?????
updating to 1.4.6??
1.4.5???
Does this not work on 1.3?
1.3.1R2 please
@11010011
I made a simple generator for massive dirt landscapes and a few scattered tree stumps a while ago, also in apocalypse style, for my own server. I might post it on here...
Instead of just a massive tundra, can you please add other biome choices such as infinite deserts or infinite grasslands? I'm looking for an infinite desert generator for my new apocalypse server.
@loquilo
I know the caves aren't all that nice, it's under development and all...
As for crashes, what kind of crashes? Can you provide an error log?
After 1 day, the generator is not stable. Many and many crashs !
Nice plugin but surfaces and water/lava points are square like on this screen http://puu.sh/rVsQ. Great job!
@SeeD419
It should work now.
Using 1.2.4R1.0: http://pastie.org/3698592
Release the source??
@Helladen
Unfortunately, yes - but only if the update involves changes to how map is generated. Note that new updates will always take effect on newly generating chunks - the problem is that already existing chunks made by previous versions will not and cannot be updated.
Once this is out of beta, will we still have to wipe maps in order to take benefits of new updates?
Watching this closely.. I'll want to use it when it's more developed. :- D
@telephonekiosk
I will update it, and try to include the new cave generator as well.
Will this be updated to 1.0.1-R1?
@fifthfiend
Nice, be sure to tell me :) It should work by pointing the main world in server.properties to something like "world_snow" and then add the entries to bukkit.yml as described on the "Setting as default world" page.
Merry christmas!
Gonna test this out on 1.01, wanna try and do a "winter wonderland" temp thing for my server.
I'll post if it works.
@telephonekiosk
It's kind a lot of work :P I don't think I'll be doing that any time soon.
