Version v1.3 - The "Fuel" edition
Now featuring hover jetpacks!
What is EasyJetpack?
Many people on my server have requested that I create a jetpack plugin/mod. I say to them, isn't creative flight enough? That got me thinking. Could you add a jetpack to Minecraft multiplayer, without destroying vanilla as it is? Years of development have lead EasyJetpack to be where it is now. Using the power of all that useless coal you have, you can now fly around the skies.
We also have a API for developers to use. This allows you to create custom jetpacks, with custom logic. These don't even have to be jetpacks! They can be anything! If you can wear it or hold it, you can modify it. Click the API button above to learn more.
This plugin uses Metrics, which sends certain stats to mcstats.org (where you can view them as well). If you wish to opt-out, change opt-out from false to true in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml

Hey firstly this plugin is great! so much fun!
athough ive found a list of bugs too:
Bugs: - If flying in normal mode then switching to creative fly mode (/ej switch) it restores the fuel block (lapis in my case) to 96% and doesn't consume any (even if fuel was on 1% it restores to 96%) (this may be an error will the permisions?) - with the jetpack on it allows people to jump fences - if a player jumps and wears a golden chestplate mid-jump they get creative fly
Suggestions: also is there a way to prevent people repairing it at all?
Thanks, Keep up the great work! The WarBlock Team
@jselbybukkit
thanks tht works, nice plugin :D
@deancohen1994
Try something like /give player 315:1337 1
@PsychoFad
People and their bugs these days... :) Let me see what I can do.
Thanks, jselby
@PsychoFad
i know that feeling :P give people something new, within hours theyve found a way to exploit/get around it haha
Hate to keep BUGging you, but someone on my server found a little flaw in the plugin. If you go into hover mode and start flying you can switch out the Chestplate to another peice and remain flying. Could you also add a check to make sure they are continuously wearing the jetpack while in hover mode and if not then disable flight for them?
It's not a huge thing, but these little guys can find ways around everything on my server. Still loving the plugin. Thanks!
hey ive updated to the newest version... you said theres a custom id now?
'Custom ID has been implemented - it is jetpackid:1337 - you just need to rightclick with the item for it to become a jetpack. Uploading to Dev Bukkit shortly.'
how do i give that to someone? /give [name] 1337 1 ? thanks
@PsychoFad
Nice to see that your enjoying my plugin :)
As for creative mode and jetpacks, I may be able to add a check for creative mode when the user takes off their jet pack. I will see what I can do.
thanks, jselby
@jselbybukkit
Just wanted to pop by and say Thank You (and post a possible bug)! The Hover Mode is awesome and my server loves it!
Noticed one little bug but it may be another plugin....not sure. I use Multiverse with Multiverse Inventories so i can provide a Creative world for everyone to play around and for testing out redstone designs. I have a non-OP minecraft account to play legit and to test out the plugins from the user perspective....getting to the point now....I used a SignPortal to go to the Creative world while I was wearing the jetpack and when I got there I couldn't fly. I was in creative, didnt have the jetpack because of the inventories being separate...so I tested a few things. If I go back to survival....take the jetpack off and then run the /ej switch command....it gives me the "you must be wearing a jetpack" message and then when I go back through I can fly again in creative. This is the only way i could figure out how to overcome this. Like I said..with so many plugins just to accomplish the secure world transfer it's hard to pin it to just this plugin...but the command helping out seems to point to this. So just wanted to point it out so you could look at it and see if you notice anything that could be done. If you need a list of my plugins send me a PM and I would be happy to provide it. Thanks again!
@vegeto311
Any version of Minecraft that has the ability to rename items can run the current version of EasyJetpack - mc 1.6.2 included.
thnx
@vegeto311
the new update is waiting for bukkit approval
does it work in 1.6.2 yet
Update has been pushed! (Now it just needs to get approved) This update adds Essentials compatibility, hovering jetpacks and more.
Thanks guys for your patience.

@ImTotallyTechy
Next update.
@PsychoFad
I am just checking for bug fixes. Sorry about the wait. Uploading in a hour.
Thanks, jselby
This plugins turns off other flying, other than creative mode. If a user does /fly or spectates in a minigame, they cant fly without a jetpack. Is there a fix? Currently the only fix is to remove said plugin.
Did you upload the file? I don't see the download link. Or is it just taking Bukkit that long to approve it?
@jselbybukkit
thankyou :D cant wait to try it out now! is there a custom fuel id ? thnks again good work
@jselbybukkit
Nice. Thanks!
@deancohen1994 @PsychoFad
Custom ID has been implemented - it is jetpackid:1337 - you just need to rightclick with the item for it to become a jetpack. Uploading to Dev Bukkit shortly.
As for the hover mode, hovering itself is done - it constantly drains fuel, but it gives you access to creative mode flying, and you don't need to be holding fuel. Having a key like M is impossible I believe without the use of Spout or something, but rightclicking with something like a feather is possible (and it may be the way to go). I currently have it set up as /ej switch, but I guess that would be hard to type while flying around the world.
Thanks, jselby
@jselbybukkit
Well a few ideas actually!
1. Right click with a feather while wearing the jetpack.
2. Issue a command /ejmode that would toggle the mode back and forth while holding or wearing the jetpack.
3. In IndustrialCraft 2 the jetpack mode is changed on the electric jetpack by pressing the "M" key while you are flying. Maybe you could even make that key configurable in the Controls section of Minecraft's settings.
Any of these methods would be awesome. The first method might conflict with some other plugins that use the right-clicking of a feather, but the others seem pretty solid.
