This is the BukkitDev plugin information page for Demigods, a full RPG experience designed to bring an endgame to survival/PvP servers. To install, simply place the plugin jar file in your plugins folder and run the server. That's it. Everything else is handled automatically. |

If i may, The things you have mentioned are pretty much irrelevant to the modmakers themselves and they really should be faced with a type of question like the one you just asked . If you want people to stop doing things like that then put on restrictions so that people arent able to get the diamond ores and dragon eggs. Simple
how about spell damage values as well.
I mean I understand you have strong spells because you want to give players thousands of health, but all that damage and health makes the armor in the game quite useless.
Players were running into pvp zones naked, 1 shotting others in full armor , with little risk to them. Players like having meaningful rewards when they kill other players, such as armor that is actually worth something.
Great idea you have on the plugin, but I think 1 shotting in pvp or killing each other for armor that is useless (eventually no one will wear) will make pvp die quickly.

This plugin is not meant to be used merely for experience through player kills, it is meant to be a full experience.
Items do not give devotion, I think you may have confused it with favor.
If you would like to configure each item individually (on their value inside of the plugin), we can make this a feature in the future.
Sad to say guys, this plugin is really overpowered.
You don't have any configuration to make certain items give less devotion , some players as soon as i got this plugin, decided to turn in stacks of dragon eggs (is a donation reward which is normally used to trade in for spells on our server) and 9 stacks of diamonds to become a super god.
They then proceeded to 1 shot everyone in pvp lol with entangle , players who were no where near them. They also used starfall to 1 shot everyone in prot 4 armor, and used squid from oceanus to grief my built greek city for pvping which looked like to be huge tnt holes.
it was a disaster, luckily I turned it off before it got way too out of hand.
I would really like these spells to be not so strong, but theres no configuration. And no way to turn off a certain spell without turning off the entire god.
Also ppl who previously had a god would still keep the spells, Even though I removed the permission from them to use the God.
I really love the idea of experience through player kills , but this is just too much op'ness for my server

That damage glitch might still exist on some servers for an unknown reason.
As far as mobs, we will wait for some sort of official Mod API before we add anything like that.

Well greek related mods such as the minatour, cyclops, etc or even pets for each of the gods as they do usually have them but thats not really an essential thing.
Also i usually play as poseidon and a couple of other gods but i realised yesterday that now when i stay in water i drown, could it be a glitch or something?

What exactly do you mean by 'plans of mobs'? We have a few ideas relating to mobs specifically, but I'd like to hear what you have in mind too.
As i said before, me and my friends really enjoyed this mod.
Do you guys have any future plans of mobs or something?

Use '/dg', in game, for all documentation. It would be no use adding the documentation for version 2, because in version 3 we will be redoing large parts of each deity.
No documentation on each diety (god and titan) like what spells (skills) they possess?

We'll be redoing all the of documentation in a the coming weeks when we release version 3 (a lot has changed, for the better), but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to update the version 2 documentation later today.
For quick reference, pvp_area_delay_time and use_new_pvp_zones are related to each other.
The above will create a 10 second delay/lag when entering a PvP denied area (only with WorldGuard at the moment) before protection set in. It will only work when use_new_pvp_zones is set to true.
The only problem with use_new_pvp_zones is that we have to disable WorldGuard's built in PvP protection, and allow Demigods to protect you instead. To do this, set it to true, and then make a region that contains 'nopvp' somewhere in the name of it. I'm working on allowing WorldGuard to work more closely with Demgods in version 3, but until then this quick fix will allow everything to work as intended.
As long as the PvP-tag is not set to anything (inside of WorldGuard) Demigods will be able to allow the delay time when entering the region.
If you're wondering what this feature was added for, on the official server we had problems with people standing just inside of our protected spawn, jumping out to kill newbies (when they left spawn), and then jumping back inside to safety, avoiding any counterattacks. Now, with this new feature, the experienced players will become exposed for however many seconds you specify in the config.
If you give the newbie permission group the 'demigods.bypasspvpdelay' node (added in version 2.4.2, which I just uploaded), they do not have this delay time when entering the same region, giving them an advantage when they are first starting out on the server.
I hope this helps you understand, at least until I update the documentation later today.
This plugin is freaking amazing!!!!!, you guys just rock!
Would it be possible to update the config page please? My main questions are about pvp_area_delay_time and use_new_pvp_zones. If you don't have time for the page could you summarize those two?

Do you have a permission plugin installed? Demigods 2 will not work without a Permissions plugin.
This problem has been fixed with Demigods 3.
There seems to be some sorta bug where only certain people can create shrines despite being OP or not. How do i fix this ?

Thanks for the error report. As long as this does not crash your server it shouldn't be a huge problem.
