Custom Gates
What does CustomGates
CustomGates let admins create their own gates, entrances and doors, out of blocks. They can for example make a castle door, 10 x 1 x 10, that opens in steps, so it looks like they would have a tall gate. Players only have to click on a button to open that gate step for step. This is the first version of the plugin, so there may be bugs. Please report them here.
Commands
There are four commands aviable:
- /gate help - Shows what to do
- /gate create <name> - Starts the editor mode
- /gate next - Goes to the next step in editor mode
- /gate stop - Ends the editor mode and finishes the gate
- /gate trigger <Gate> - Triggers a gate per command
- /gate delete <Gate> - Delete a gate
Permissions
There is only one permission for who ever should be able to create a gate.
- CGate.create
- CGate.trigger
- CGate.delete
If Line 3 of a sign isn't empty, a player needs that line as permission to trigger the gate.
Tutorial
- Build a gate as it should look when it's closed.
- Do /gate create <name>
- Rightclick every involved block with a gold hoe.
- Do /gate next. Now rebuild the gate, how it should look for the next step.
- Rightclick again every involved block with a gold hoe.
- Repeat that until the gate is open.
- Do /gate stop
- Place a button whereever you want.
- Add a sign under the button. Line 1 contains [Gate], Line 2 the name of the gate. (Optional Line 3 of the gate contains permission to open it)
Tutorial Video
ToDo
- Add support for diffrent block directions and datas
- Add on player move

It doesnt work
Would it be possible for someone to make an update for this? seeing as the developer hasnt touched it or looked at it in over a year plus. because this plugin was amazing.
Confirmed to still be working (with command blocks) on 1.8.4 like so: "/sudo @p gate trigger <name>"
One would expect it to break by now, lol!
ITs doesn't Anything ;/
what permission for other players to use the doors ?
Tested on already created gates from before 1.7.2, they - surprisingly enough - work (with commandblocks) on 1.7.2. Don't know if everything else works (e.g. making gates, etc).
Downloaded the plugin for minecraft 1.6.4. The button + sign doesn't work. So, I used command blocks instead.
In command blocks, type: /sudo @p gate trigger (name of gate)
It should work...
Anyways, great plugin!
What version do you use? Using the last jar uploaded here, it hasn't worked for me. I had to decompile the jar and rebuild it against craftbukkit for 1.6.2. I don't know the error that was thrown, it's too long since i've tried it.
why does this not work for you I run 1.6.2 and it works fine for me
Doesn't look like MetalJulien is updating this plugin...
[edit] I've rebuild Custom Gates against craftbukkit 1.6.2 R1.0. You can download it here. I don't maintain this plugin!
Update for 1.6.2 soon ????? ^^
Will there be an update for this plugin in the near future?
Can u please update this plugin, I love it, but it doesnt work at my 1.6.2 server:(
can somebody please help me i tried downloading the creativegates.jar and i put it in my server and nothing happened it diddnt work plz help
When I run "gate trigger gatename" from console this happens:

The [gate] sign doesn't work. I'm using Spigot 1.6.1 build #1009
The /gate trigger command works so I made a workaround using command cubes but it would be nice to get this fixed.
Also
I did some scripting on my server and added the vanilla DOOR_OPEN sound looped to match the gate length with 0.5 second delay in between the sounds and DOOR_CLOSE sounds for closing the gate. It looks and sounds very good.
Maybe you could make some kind of sound support a part of the plugin itself? Just a thought.
Great plugin.
CGate.trigger permission doesn't work though. Not for GroupManager at least. No errors in console.
Your plugin is awesome!
We can make any gates with your plugin, I made and arena and a mobarena with one gate each and they works perfectly!
Thank you for your release and keep it updated and alive ;)
Hi. I just installed this, thinking it'd be pretty cool, but, to my finding, it worked for a little then proceeded to error every time I hit the button above the sign, doing nothing.
Here is the error: http://pastebin.com/fD0Y2ECd
Any way I can fix this myself?
