This awesome plugin lets you travel to far away places and worlds faster than light! Just create a gate at any location and set an exit somewhere else.
This has been made available by the hard work of the research and development department of the Craft Inc. Corporation. Under the lead of Professor Ddidderr Craftman scientists worked years to find a way to bend time and space inside the Minecraft universe to enable ultra fast transportation.
Now it is time for you to try out this wonderful plugin. Simply install, create a gate and feel the funny tickle inside your brain while traveling.*
The key features of this are:
- Dynmap integration (Demo)
- Gates with and without frames
- Gates consisting of portal blocks and gates made of air (so called hidden gates)
- Gates with destinations in different worlds
- Gates with custom shapes (gates can look any way you want)
- Riding through gates

Who can destroy a gate?
Anyone if you do not use a third-party protection plugin like Grief Prevention.
Is there a IConnomy integration? Features for user to dial other gates etc?
Nope. We currently don't plan to integrate such features. If you really need such an integration please inform us. If there are a lot of people requesting such features we might change our mind.
Is there a list of all commands?
Sure, type /gate help in-game or have a look at the Commands page.
When I destroy the frame of a gate it stops working. Shouldn't it still work?
Yes and no. To make gates work without a frame you need to tweak the checkForBrokenGateFrames setting. Have a look at the Configuration page for more information.
Usage
With this plugin you can create gates which will teleport players anywhere you want. The gates can look any way you like.
To make the gate work place yourself inside a newly created gate frame and type /gate new [id]. Afterwards walk to the destination of your gate and type /gate exit [id] to set the destination. With /gate open [id] you can get your newly created gate to work.
To hide a gate simply call /gate hide [id]. Now that gate won’t be made of purple portal blocks while open.

Installing
- Download the latest release here
- Delete any old versions of Craft Inc. Gates (only the .jar files) including the extra dynmap-plugin of this plugin.
- Extract the content of the zip file into the plugins folder of your Bukkit server.
- Start or reload the server.

This project is a fork of the original Ancient Gates. It is licensed under the LGPL just like the Bukkit project. Thanks to all current and previous contributors. The font used for the Craft Inc. Gates logo is called MineCrafter 3 and has been made available under the creative commons license. Thanks to Asherz08, MadPixel and Ashley Denham for this great font. This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org: a unique identifier, the server's version of Java, whether the server is in offline or online mode, the plugin's version, the server's version, the OS version/name and architecture, the core count for the CPU, the number of players online, the Metrics version. You can disable the stat collection via /plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml if you wish.

Yes, we tweaked the commands to make the shortcuts easier to remember. Here is list of all commands for version 2.2. (We will update the main page when the final version of 2.2 is available.)
Previously someone could think »/gate c someName« means »/gate create someName« while it actually means »/gate close someName«.
There is also a short discussion about it here.

NO, it is a fork of Ancient Gates. Just have a look at our Github page. We forked it and released it since Ancient Gates is no longer maintained.
Ancient Gates Reloaded also forked Ancient gates. (If you have a look at the commit log you will notice that we forked Ancient gate long before Ancient Gates Reloaded did. At least long before they made their fork publicly available.)
This plugin is almost a direct copy of AncientGates reloaded :|

I'm pretty sure you are referring to the current beta version. All known bugs will be fixed when we release the final version. So if you want a working version you should switch back to the previous non-beta version! But thanks for reporting.
The /gate create doesn't work anyone, but the /gate new one does.
Also when you create the gates, they nolonger work.
Confirmed that the Beta version is broken, but the previous version still works. Have just tested.
Please fix this bug.

You already can! The direction you are facing after walking through a gate depends on the direction you were looking at when setting the location and exit of a gate. But it also depends on the direction you are been looking at when walking into a gate. (Hope you understand that. We should make a video to demonstrate this feature. :) )
Disabling the gate usage message is already implemented and will be part of the next release! The current beta version already supports it!
Can you make it so we can change the direction we face when we come outta the portal?
Can you also make a config open so that we're able to disable the "thanks for traveling with craft inc gates?

Please be patient and wait for version 2.2. We hopefully found a way to fix those nether teleports once and for all.
That plugin is 100% amazing and makes things look amazing and adds a cool feeling.
But it's pointles because sometimes when I set gates and stuff, they work, and like maybe few days or weeks later(after it still working) at makes the gate send u to the nether all the time(and was never edited for that) ior the gate delets itself. Is there any reason or fixed?
Sorry about my last post, hehe, I thought there had to be a gate at both ends, this plugin is great the way it is.

why not simply use two gates? I never got why gates should be two way.
Could you maybe make it so gate are 2 way instead of 1 way.

That's a good idea. But it would also require a bit of work implementing it. I'll think about it. Let's see if some other people want the feature too.

Could you have a look at the server log. There actually should be a message from the plugin with some information why the gate is invalid!
