    What steps will reproduce the problem?
    1. Hold a grenade, throw it to the enemy
    2. Quickly change the item your holding into a gun
    3. The enemy gets killed but the console will announce that the player was killed with a gun but not with a grenade.

    What happened?
    The console announce a different weapon with the gun that you are currently holding, but not the item that kills the victim.

    What was supposed to happen?
    The console would supposedly announce the the victim is killed with the weapon you used to kill them, but its not.

    What version of CrackShot are you using?
    CrackShot v0.95.1 for 1.6.2

    Were there any errors in the console? If so, what were they?

    I believe that that's a bug with the way Minecraft handles death messages, not Crackshot.

    I do think its not "only" the death announcement that glitches but It changes the damage of the item on hit on which item the player is holding, I'm not sure but I will verify.

    Example: Player fires a bazooka, the bullet travels in the air, player changes the item in the hand to Knife (Knife is configured to have more damage than a bazooka), the victim got hit with a Knife in a long range with a much more greater damage.

    Opinion: I do think its not only the death announce is the conflict here but I do think the damage was also being modified. I hope you should look into this situation. Thanks
