Hey i was wondering if you could add a global experience multiplier. I would like to have a 2 times experience event, without manually changing all of the values. Other than that this plug-in is definitely one of my essentials.
@feildmaster
Sounds good, good luck, we appreciate it.
I've been working on lots of stuff lately, I don't look at things unless people make tickets.
It's something of a requirement for me now, I can't be bothered to look for comments every day... It takes up too much time.
I'll take a look at working on this plugin when I'm done with a few things for Bukkit.
@feildmaster:
Any news on this plugin or are you waiting for the dust to settle from the most recent update? If the latter, I don't blame you. :)
@Hangar What do you mean? I do not check this place for comments very often.
@Nuinethir That's interesting, I'll see what I can do!
@hqt99 That's an interesting idea as well! I'll see what I can do about that.
@datwerd86 This should be fixed in later builds of CraftBukkit! (Since I'm the one that fix it.) Please tell me if it's not!
EDIT: You seem busy, I'll try another solution. G'luck :)
@feildmaster
The 2.5.2 snapshot works great! Removing the verbosity is a big plus.
I have another request of you, if it is at all possible. When a player is killed in PvP combat, I am using PvPReward to dish out money from the loser to the winner. Can you provide something similar for experience? I would like players to lose 10% of their experience on each death (PvE) like normal, but let the victor in PvP combat get half of what they lost (5%). (Ex: Player A fights and defeats Player B, who has 100 exp. Player B loses 10 exp, and Player A received 5 exp for the kill.) Possible? Thank again!
Can this plugin prevent XP from mob spawners? I can not seem to find a plugin that will do that. This one seems the best out of the XP plugins I can find has the best options, but I need the option to disable XP drops from spawners to prevent farms.
just thought id let you know EnderDragon seems not to drop configured virtual exp gives orbs or no exp at all
@feildmaster
Ahhh sorry! I assume most devs to post links to updates here, so my bad. I will try that build later today after classes. Thanks much!
@Nuinethir
http://ci.feildmaster.com/job/ControlORBle/31/ <- I do use jenkins to test things. :P
Also, IRC. I post all updates on IRC. ^^
@feildmaster
Any chance on an update to add verbosity removal? Please see my post below. Thanks much!
I second Nuinethir: A verbosity switch would make this plugin perfect.
Would it be possible to give options to turn on/off the verbosity of exp gain and loss, as well as custom formatting of all chat messages? Being able to add color would also be very nice! Thanks for such a great plugin!
I have a request... Could you make it where a player could set his\her level and xp? somthing like (/exp [username] #13,12) for level 13 and 12 exp in that level?
@JaredTS486 Will add in a basic option then. ^^
This plugin is perfect, simple and easy. I love the fact you added XP for blocks. I have our server set so you can collect mob spawners but not place them. They get 100xp for getting it and if they collect 3 they take them to a NPC that gives them some in game currency. I think a good option would be to have no message display when gaining XP in virtual mode. Its nice to not know how much you are getting exactly to keep it kind of a mystery and it should be much easier to implement in a config file than if XP > 10 display message is false.
@JaredTS486 That's very true. I'll think about how to enhance that message.
One thing my members mentioned is when using virtual XP the messages spam up the chat window. Perhaps there is a way to disable the notice if the XP is below a certain amount.
