CaveMonster

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

This plugin is intented to bring a little bit of variety into the monster world, by giving them more health and more attack damage and in return an increased chance of dropping armor or weapons. Instead of giving all monsters the same amount of health and damage, the bonus they get is high dependant. Means: The deeper you are, the stronger the monster will become!

Instructions

  1. Put the CaveMonster.jar file into your plugins folder
  2. Start/Reload the server
  3. Open the config and adjusts the values
  4. Start/Reload the server

Configuration

surface-height: Only monsters spawning and fighting below that level are affected by the bonus effects.
health-multiplier: The maximum/minimum health multiplier.
damage-multiplier: The maximum/minimum damage multiplier.
droprate-multiplier: The maximum/minimum item droprate multiplier.

Multipliers

The monsters health is decided by three things: The monsters default health, the height and the configured multiplier. If the monster is above the surface-level, nothing changes, but if it is below that height, it gets some bonus effects. Close to the surface-level, the monster has nearly the default values, but if you are at bedrock level, the monster has nearly his default health multiplied by the configured health-multiplier, and its default damage is multiplied by damage-multiplier
