What it is

A very simple plugin that requires that users on your Minecraft server have an account on your Wordpress site, and their Minecraft username in a custom field in their Buddypress profile. There are plugins like this that provide similar functionality, support a large number of different CMSs and Forums, but none support Buddypress, they are also not as simple as this. The idea behind this plugin is to allow you to track your users, force them to use the website so you can communicate news to them, and protect your server.

How it Works

It achieves this functionality by checking the MySQL database for your Wordpress website that has the Buddypress plugin installed for a field that you can specify in the configuration. That field must be a required field in the users Buddypress profile. It then checks each user on login to see if they have an account on your Wordpress website with their Minecraft username in their profile. This provides your server with an extra level of authentication and helps you build and strengthen a community.
