BOSEconomy
This plugin is no longer supported.
I have not updated this plugin in over a year, I barely even play Minecraft anymore, I've gotten a full-time job, and nobody else on the team is interested in developing it either. It's time to put it to rest. With the release of name changing in Minecraft 1.8, this plugin is no longer functional. Please do not use it anymore. The code is mediocre at best, and was written by a college student with no real-world programming experience. You really shouldn't want the source code. If somebody comes up with a script to convert BOSEconomy files to work with a different economy plugin, let me know via PM and I can include it on this page.
Thanks for the support I got while it lasted, and sorry for going silent and letting everyone down.

BOSEconomy is a simple, lightweight economy plugin. Every player owns an amount of currency and can make simple payments between one another. Read below to see all of the available features.
BOSEconomy stands for "Brotherhood of Slaughter Economy". The plugin was originally designed for our community's Minecraft server.
Features:
- Simplicity: install and go setup. Place the plugin in your folder and modify the files.
- Flexibility: Robust system able to accommodate the simplest of economy setups or the most complex economic setups to date.
- Reliability: Works with almost every Bukkit update without any need to update our plugin. ( no long waits for plugin fixes upon new Bukkit release )
- Standard: One of the leading Economy plugins. Backed by plugin API's such as Vault and Register. This means any plugin that uses vault or register as its backbone will make our plugin work with it without any need to change either persons code.
- Scalability: Control the functions of your econ based off of the size of your server base. With in game commands to modify almost every aspect of the plugin there is nothing you cant control.
- Ingenuity: Procedures put in place that provide the server owner with the "Sky is the limit" mindset. With options and controls to almost every aspect of the plugin there are hundreds of ways to make an econ system.
- Dependable: This plugin is constantly monitored and maintained. One of the most annoying factors to server owners is when a plugin loses support because of the owners disinterest in Minecraft. That will not occur with this as my communities server is very popular and proves to be a cornerstone for our gaming needs.

Awesome. Something I would love is Multi-world currency and a Craftconomy import setting.
Any way to clean up the data base? for old inactive users? please !
@saldarine
That is very good news. I was worried I would have to abandon the plugin.
Well, semi good news. One of our current members of our server would like to take up work on the project. So.... within the next week or so we might have some renewed interest in it. I will keep you posted.
I've a quick question about installing. I have essentials economy installed so does this override it or do I need to remove the essentials economy commands from all groups?
Any way to clean up the data base? for old inactive users? please !
@Queketth
Well that is what happens, but I've reloaded the entire plugin folder multiple times and had one generated each time. Unfortunately, the information is still not pulled from it...
Just a suggestion, but you might wanna add a detailed written description of how brackets work. I've been looking through your pages and multiple youtube guides, but I still have no idea which options I have, what I can change and how it works.
@tweety49
sounds like you need http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/reward-token/ instead
@EnglishMuffin123
Ive got exactly the same thing having installed about 10 mins ago... have you had any players online since you installed the plugin as these will pull the data from the user accounts which will not be generated until z player has been online... e.g. when JoeBrown comes online an account section will be auto added to the accounts.txt file with the username JoeBrown which is where these commands pull their data from, Thats how I believe it works and the problem but I may very well be wrong being new to this myself....
I've been trying to use this plugin and I have it set up nicely, but when I try to use /econ top5 it doesn't show any accounts and when I use /econ stats it acts like there are no accounts and no money in the economy. I'm using the beta build of bukkit 1.5.1 (#2735) and the 1.4.5-RO.2 build of BOSEconomy. I'm also using the permissions plugin PermissionsEX. Is there a reason for this problem?
It does. Using news CB dev build.
Can I get a clear answer on if this works with the current version of bukkit?
Thank you.
@tweety49
If you're using Chestshop for "Donator only items" , you can make shops that are only available to certain groups.
I don't think it's possible to run 2 different economy plugins side-by-side.
I want to use essentials economy for my in-game ranks and suck, however I would like to implement this plugin as my donators form of currency. Will this work alongside of essentials economy so that when a player donates he recieves "x" amount of coins to use for in-game shop items exclusively available to donators? All while still allowing the use of essentials economy?
@ryguy147
Maintained != updated with new command and tools. I hope english is not your first language. This plugin has been going since the start of minecraft to see it be one of the LAST econ plugins to "not become maintained" seems silly to quote something like that.
Secondly, while this plugin was being created we were working on our version of minecraft ( our game ). You can imagine how that might make it harder for me to devote time and effort into something while I am trying to make our very own game. Anyway no reason to justify myself to you here. Enjoy
Can you please add a purge command to delete accounts that are older than a certain amount. e.g. '/econ purge 30d'

@iChrill
As it states on the iConomy 6 dev page, it is very unstable and it will have a chance of resetting. iConomy is now abandoned and it is outdated. BOSEconomy should sort it out.
