BleedingMobs
BleedingMobs
Make your mobs bleed a little
BleedingMobs creates a blood effect, when you hit animals, monsters and other players. It generates blood particles using wool and redstone drops, that disappear after a short time and stain the floor with colored wool blocks. All particles can't be picked up and the wool blocks on the floor can't be broken. This plugin is highly customizable in the config.yml. If you need more options, just add a comment or create a ticket.
You should watch the videos to see the effects in action.
The idea for this project came after watching Yogscast: "Shadow of Israphel" Part 25 and 29.
Permissions You need the permission bleedingmobs.admin (default: op) to use the /bleedingmobs command. You need the permission bleedingmobs.bloodstrike (default: true), if you enable permission-only in config. If you enable the permission bleedingmobs.noblood (default: false), you will not bleed when hurt.
Statistics Since Version 3.4 this plugin sends statistics about the usage to the server http://mcstats.org/. You can disable it using the command /bleedingmobs disable-metrics
This plugin is cool
Pleas real drop proportion wool of redstone at slimeball for Giant att smail slaim
@Mre30
I don't have any CPU issues with this, but the code is quite optimized.
is it me? or does this love my cpu waaaay to much lol
oh you! lol.... i was thinking of a way to make my plugin a little more.. played around with redstone wire, potion_break... and none of it was cool... and then thought of this exact thing lol
This is very very nice!!! Very clever!
@z00100100
4.4 should work fine with 1.5.2, as nothing changed that would break it.
@MisterMystery
you can configure each mob separately, just set the the relevant values to 0
Console says i need to upgrade to a newer version of bukkit for bleedingmobs to work. What version is this compatable with and will this be updated for 1.5.2? I run the current beta build of bukkit.
What if we don't want certain entities to bleed at all? Like pigs and other animals and villagers?
Can we just delete them from the config file? Is there a true false addition you can add?
@CollinDesigns
already fixed in 4.4
The blood and bones get picked up by a hopper. Can you fix this?
@Iaccidentally
i tried adjust so the mobs drop less blood max-particles: 250 but it didnt work
@Iaccidentally
Why isnt that possible? its the mob which drop the redstone and other stuff, isnt there a way to make a data.yml file which will store all players which disabled it for theirs accounts.
@ThePlayingNoob
No, because the blood is not client side. There is no way for me to decide which client sees it and which does not. If you are having issues with "lag", try adjusting the config to create less blood. (The "lag" is client side)
Nice banner and Please could you try work on a ignore command? Some players get annoyed of the blood after a while and some just lag because of it and i dont want remove the plugin.
@z00100100
Not something I plan on doing with this plugin. An add-on plugin could easily do that, but not really within the scope of this plugin.
could you add a percentage check for if mobs/players bleed to death for rpg servers.
and for crits player side which would have to have config for bandage aka use a paper and string to bandage to stop bleeding if hit by crit.
OK. Did that just now. No warnings! Thank you. I didn't realize there was a newer dev build.
@schkott
Try the latest craftbukkitdev build, and I will look into it. The fix I added requires a newer dev build since bukkit only recently added events for hoppers.
Edit: I am unable to reproduce this locally with version 4.4. I will push a new build soon to fix the autoupdater so people will know to update.
@laccidentally. Been using BleedinMobs for quite a while now. Love it. But since the last update you can "pick up" the blood. It shows in your inventory as enchanted unbreaking wool or redstone. I also get this when starting my server: [SEVERE] [BleedingMobs] Plugin BleedingMobs v4.3 has failed to register events for class me.snowleo.bleedingmobs.listener.ParticleProtectionListener because org/bukkit/event/inventory/InventoryPickupItemEvent does not exist.
It's not like it's ruining anything or crashing my world but...
Also, could it possibly be anything to do with the CB dev build? I'm using CB v1.5.1-R0.1(#2723) and BukkitGUI v1.4.7.268 Corrupt folder somewhere? I'm not running any other plugins. and ya I noticed the other Bleeding Mobs too... just a space between the words. Knew it wasn't the right one cuz of the authors.....
Thanks for your time.
