BlockLogger
Block Logger
This simple plugin gives users with permissions the ability to use a wand and detect what has been done to a specific block. Using the config you can change which item is the wand, and how many logs to keep per block. Default, it's 3.
The logs are currently stored in a non-human-readable form, and stored per chunk. To prevent too large of harddrive reads.
Currently it logs
- Block placing/breaking
- Furnace/Chest/Door opening
- Fire ignition
Permissions
- blocklogger.use - Allows the user to toggle and use the wand.
- blocklogger.exempt - All of the users actions are ignored and not logged
Features
- Ability to ignore logs based on block, player, and event type
Commands
- /lwand [on/off] - Toggles the wand on/off
- /lwandhelp - Displays help for BlockLogger
Usage
- Left-click with the wand out to see what's happened to a particular block
- Right-click with the want to see what's happened to the block above the selected block. (Useful for crops)
Planned features
- SQL Support
- Ability to set a buffer/saving time, to put less stress on harddrives
- Detecting where fire started and tracking it back to the player
- Detecting where water started etc..
- Roll-back actions
How long are the logs kept in the server? 24 hours? One session? Forever?
I placed a block and right-clicked with my wand and it said "No logs here", please help :)
Mc_Faze, you are not alone. I am having the same exact problem. There is a bug that keeps block breaking from being logged D:
Hey, I was using this plugin and some of my server players were griefed. No blocks were placed, and all broken. But your plugin seems to not log when players breaking blocks. Am i missing something?
hi, i just want to say that i was very happy to come across this plugin. i have tryed somany plugins like: grieflog, logblock, blocklog and more to add to that list. but for some reason none of them worked for me. well grieflog normaly works fine but on my server it didn't lookup the logs?! but afther i isntalled blocklogger, i was totaly happy that it finally worked! this plugin is working for 1.6.2 doesn't need a update to it.
keep up this good working plugin :)
@Blackhawk185
there is coreprotect it doesnt require mysql and you can rollback the grief etc etc
Agreed this plugin needs to be updated mysql is a pain in the ass :]
Please update, this plugin is very important
PLEASE update this or someone take it over or somthing! This is the only block logging plugin that doesn't require mySQL!
This project seems dead. If anyone got to reverse engineer the ".blog" format and could post it I'll be forever thankful! I'm not a Java programmer so I don't really know where to start.
I want to do some data mining. Is there a way to convert these? I tried loading with Sqlite3 and got nothing.
DONT DOWNLOAD DOES NOT WORK IT SUCKS
I have the same
I'm having the same problem, not logging broken blocks.
I have the same problem, I cant detect broken blocks!
Awesome plugin! Love how I don't have to set up MySQL to use it! :D
I have the same problem can you please fix it!!
Great plugin ! But i have the same problem than other users:
Log of block breaking doesn't work at all. :/
but the others kind of logging (block place, fire ignition, interaction with furnace, door and chest) are working very good.
Server running on bukit 1.2.5-R1.0, no errors in the console.
@RicardoForce
Are you right-clicking or left-clicking a block?
This doesn't work at all. It only logs about 10% of all edits done to blocks on my server.
