About bSpace
bSpace is the one and only plugin that generates spaceworlds for your server! Ever wanted to fly around in space and make awesome looking spaceships? You can now do that and many other things with bSpace! Just want an awesome world generator? Well, we can offer that too!
NOTICE
bSpace is in the mature stage of this plugin. As such, I do not spend much time on it at all. However, I do generally post bug fixes, especially for bigger bugs. If you would like a new feature, please make a ticket (top of page) for it. Unfortunately, my Jenkins server has been disabled, so I can't post any dev builds.
Features
- Spaceworlds with customizable planet and asteroid generation
- Spacehelmets and suits, can be turned on and off
- Pail (a Bukkit GUI) support - Pail is outdated. Don't expect support in the future.
- World manager support
- Basic breathable areas (where no helmets or suits are required)
- Awesome Spout features such as gravity and black holes
bSpace has many other features, but because we want to save some space (get it?), we only list the most important ones. If you want to know what the spaceworlds look like, you can hop onto the Images-section.
The following video is very old and does not accurately represent the current state of bSpace. However, it does show the basic planet generation. I do not have control over it.

Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server.
These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.
What should I choose?
- Downloading from Jenkins is reccomended; it provides the most flexible downloads of everything:
- Download the development for untested fixes/bugs.
- Download the tested build for builds that have no known bugs, but have features or fixes not in the release build
- Download the release build if you want a build that has been built solely as a wrap-up of new features or fixes.
If you have trouble installing, don't forget to check our very own installing and updating guide. There are links to all guides below, under the giant Pages-text. There are also some guides for developers.
Issues
We request that any issues that are found be posted on GitHub. Don't forget to give us information such as
- bSpace version

@ShadowOfBlood
hey dick make your own plugin and try to make it like this than do what they do until than id stop complaining their plugin not yours they can choose to update it or not they may be really busy with you know their own lives
@BadReuben
To be completely honest, I'm not sure. How did you create the schematic?
@Frinckles
I'm sorry, I don't remember what this is for.
@morlanius
If you PM me, I can guide you through the API.
@yoshisman8
Yeah, it went down. I don't really have control over it.
@mwkaicz
Are you using any schematics?
@ShadowOfBlood
1) This is a known issue. If I can, I'll fix it 2) Yes, gravity is spout-only 3) no, sorry 4) I haven't really ever been able to get schematics to work right :(
@ShadowOfBlood
Sorry, I really don't have enough time to make regular updates to this. I wish I did.
Since this plugin seems to be dead, I'll just replace my space world with something like Skyblock.
Let me know if this ever gets updated regularly again. =)
Hi!
Couple things.
I'm using v2.4.
@AndyAdsffm
Me too, also my planet config isn't working.
Hi, I have all configs correct but im still able to breath in open space....is anything wrong with me or is it bug in the plugin?
Hi, I got this error during generating space world:
generated with multiverse with params: generateplanets: false generateasteroids: true generatesatellites: false generatefloor: false generateschematics: true
@ezra0128
/mv create [NAME] [ENVIRONMENT] -g bSpace:awesome
How do I make a bSpace world with Multiworld?
Jenkins isn't working. cant download newer version :(
could you make it so that you asphyxiate if there is not int config.width blocks to the sides of you. so you dont gain the ability to breath when you hang out under and asteroid?
Or, could you either make, or help me make a plugin that imports your api to add this to make it REALLY optional. or just put a thing in the config.

Here you go, sorry for the late response.
Hey, Is there any requirements that a schematic must have in order to be compatible with this plugin? The one schematic that I had tested had caused a crash; The schematic was a small "UberPizza" Spaceship that consisted of two playerheads with metadata of an admin's account and a chest with one diamond inside.
@morlanius
Blocks. Density is the number of planets that is attempted to be placed in a chunk on world gen. Of course, not every one can be placed because of min-distance, world height, etc.
@Frinckles
It might not be you. Can you pastie your config?
Hey Kitskub, I'm still not seeing unbreathable areas working. I de-opped myself in survival mode and stood in the vacuum of space still able to breath. Is there something I'm not doing correctly?
@kitskub
is MinDistance in chunks or blocks?
and what perspective can i put on "density"? Default is 1000, that represent 100.0%?
@morlanius
Yes
when planet generation is active im guessing it only occors on new chunks?
Hi! I'm the original author of this plugin (as you may see to the right).
I stopped working on this project quite a while ago, because I got bored of Minecraft & plugin development. I have since moved on to other things (to mention a few, music production & having a life). If you need to contact me, you can google my current nickname, 'iffamies'. You'll surely find something (SoundCloud, Facebook, Twitter etc etc).
Great to see the plugin is still not completely abandoned. @kitskub - really sorry for just vanishing, pretty much. I did however at one point think of making a return and rewriting this resource hog from ground up, but I didn't do it because the official Minecraft API was nowhere to be seen (is it still even out?) & I didn't have motivation. Maybe next year. Maybe never.
I remember the plugin started out as a private one for some server called "Styx Reborn". Then some time later I put it on the Bukkit forums and started working on it more actively, looking to add amazing features (which are now a reality thanks to a lot of people's help! <3). Trying to make the plugin open source was a pain in the ass (because of the Styx Reborn owner), but it happened. Then kitskub got involved (which helped A LOT) & we started working on improving the plugin even more.
But then I lost interest as I thought I'd have to rewrite for a new API and I couldn't come up with fixes for old problems or make up new features. But I guess there is not much to add.... maybe wormholes?
Thanks again, kitskub, for keeping the plugin alive for a lot longer than I thought it would live. I will remember the development of this plugin forever. But now I must go back to living my life & producing music (which I eventually want to earn my living with). Bye! <3
