Beta 1.7.3 terrain generator
This plugin generates beta 1.7.3 terrain.
Installation
MCStats
As of version 2.3 this plugin uses MCStats to collect data about the plugin, like how many servers/players use the plugin ect. (More about MCStats)
Disabling MCStats:
Edit file plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml and change opt-out: false to true
Updating to v2.2 and newer
Configuration
1.5 and earlier: no configuration

/reload command is not supported. Don't use it. It WILL break 173generator (and a lot of other plugins).

Hey Barteks is there any chance you could make a 1.6.x terrain gen mod (current terrain gen) for when 1.7 is released? I want to have a separate world for the 1.7 terrain since it will cause horrendous chunk borders on my current survival world and I would rather not have those.

Alpha generator will lag any server, unless you have 10Ghz CPU. I'm going to add alpha generator (and maybe change plugin name to OldTerrain) when bukkit for mc 1.7 comes out (1.7 update may fix terrain generation lags - there are changes in network code).

It is possible but will be slower. It also reqiores changes in other parts oif generator (caves, trees, ores...). I'm going to add it.
awesome to be able to use the old generator as the world variety was so much better previous versions. But this generator probably utilizes the max height of 128? Would it be possible to make it that it would configurably work for 256 blocks if it does generate at 128 currently?
Would love to see how high and awesome mountains will become with a higher block height!
How easy is this plugin to make?
If its not too difficult would you consider creating the generator from alpha 1.1? When SMP was first introduced?

I'm going to add commands for configuration (config preset, init world config with preset).
Swamplands exists in beta 1.7.3 - but they aren't very common and are replaced with plains by 173generator.
Rainforest is replaced bu jungle, i'm going to add option to generate jungle trees in rainforest.
I love this plugin! I just have one question, and a suggestion. First of all, my question! I would love to know HOW to use the configuration! I know that if you go into the folder in the plugins folder and then click on the world you want to configure, you see the configuration in there, but you can only change it AFTER the world was made, so it doesn't really change anything at all.
I would really like to know how to change this because I would really love to get into the configuration!
Secondly, my suggestion is that you allow, in the configuration, for there to be the choice to add swamplands and jungles, and other biomes of the sort. I know this may be complicated, due to the fact that you are probably using the original code from 1.7.3 but it would be well appreciated! I would love to be able to use ALL the new features with the good World Gen from before!

Edit: Got it working without crash, BUT when I try to tp to new chunks Essentials tells me "Error: Exception generating new chunk". No console output. EDIT 2: Never mind same problem
I have installed the plugin and enabled it using Multiverse. However, it crashes when I try to change the generator of a world to it and try to generate terrain.

It may be problem with new biome system introduced in 2.1 version.
hey Bartexs2x, this plugin is great, first off! I was just wondering how animal spawns worked, because I have a hard time finding animals on the worlds I make with your plugin. is that related to the plugin itself, or do you think there is a separate problem I'm not aware of? or just bad luck?

There are few ssues to fix. The most notable is that craeting new world with 173generator causes OutOfMemory error (generating new chunks in existing worlds works).
