AreaProtect
AreaProtect is a very simple and lightweight plugin that allows players to create their own protections with worldguard. No need for an Admin/Mod to create protections manually, players can now safely create and manage their own protections. You can limit players maximum areas or the size of the areas they can create (and much more) using customizable groups. Players can also customize the flags of their areas like greetings and farewells.
Hello,
I've made multiple groups but only the default and one other group works. I've done exactly the same with each group. Every PEX group has the right permission node. I've four groups in total.
@KrisFirebolt9
I will try to release a new version soon. I'm currently working on another plugin.
If you have any problems create a ticket to let me know.
When will it be 1.5.2 or 1.6? I love this plugin very much, it works great on another server, I feel its not working sometimes since it is outdated
@Switch0r
These are the default settings, If you set it to true it will be true by default when the person creates the area.
What does do in the config?
Flag:
PvP: false
Does it disable pvp to deny in his area or cant the player change the default flag ?
Hi,
I had added the extra mob-damage and mob-spawning on my own. Just wish to info you. Thanks.
@absintoj
Thank you :D
I have added it to the tutorials page.
@BleedObsidian
Sent a pastebin link in a PM to you.
@Jay98d
Give me your whole permission file, I'll do it for you.
@BleedObsidian
Hold on, so I should add the permission node 'areaprotect.group.guest' to all groups, or I should add the permission 'areaprotect.group.regular' for the rank above it (Elite) and the 'areaprotect.group.elite' permission for the VIP rank and so on?
@Jay98d
Ah, Because you use inheritance the "areaprotect.group.guest" permission is also given to Regular.
If you are using GroupManager. Ban the permission.
So add this to Regular "- - areaprotect.group.guest".
And the same for all other permission groups.
Here is what it would look like: http://pastebin.com/uzig37yw
@BleedObsidian
I tried this, exactly as you posted it, and now it will only let all have a maximum of 50x50 blocks of land protection. Maybe something to do with permissions?
Here is the start of my config: http://pastebin.com/cg5bAKV8 and the rest of my ranks (Elite, VIP, etc) have - areaprotect.group.elite - areaprotect.group.vip and so on...
@Jay98d
The group list is not in your config.
Change your config to this:
http://pastebin.com/uXPcdJg6
@Jay98d
Try something like this:
- -areaprotect.group.trusted
- areaprotect.group.member
Hey. I'm writing because I can't seem to get my groups to work with AreaProtect. What's happening is that when anyone tries to protect land, it will say that they don't have any protection left, even though they have used none of it. It will also say that they are the guest rank when they use /ap info regardless of what rank they actually are. Here is a copy of the config: http://pastebin.com/PvNpT4my
I also tried a different config, however in this one it would give all players a maximum protection of 32x32 blocks, no matter what rank they were. You can see this here: http://pastebin.com/vibk3ech
I've added the correct permission nodes for all ranks, giving my first rank all the normal permissions to claim, destory etc. then giving all other ranks ' - areaprotect.group.regular' ' - areaprotect.group.elite' '- areaprotect.group.vip' etc.
Also, with the preview, you should make so if I want to buy an area connected to other area, I should use a simple command with that.
For example, I'm facing East and I want to buy an area in that direction, for that I should use "/ap expand" or something like that and the area on where I'm standing should be expanded.
Regards, John.
Could u add a way where the region flag we could edit it in config. So you dont really needa add it in config. mob-damage:true
Allow the user to add it themself like a variable. So like what ever "X" is the flag will be easier. x: true x:false
Btw u got a beta build of your current progress? Feel like testing it out too :D
@funfair91
Actually now that I've thought about it, I can do it.
I will add it in the next release.
Thanks for even considering :D
@funfair91
This is how WorldGuard works, I can't do anything I'm afraid.
Hmmm, Its a good idea, but it's not something everyone would want. I will maybe add it as an option.
