NetherIce
NetherIce
What is it?
NetherIce is a simple plugin that allows you to get water when breaking an ice block in any world that you add to the configuration file.
Permissions
Permissions | Description | Default |
---|---|---|
netherice.* | Access all NetherIce permissions | false |
netherice.seetext | See a text when you broke an ice block | false |
netherice.reload | Reload the config | false |
netherice.updatecheck | Get the updatecheck in chat when joining if available | false |
netherice.break | Allow players to break the ice | false |
Configuration
Update: UpdateCheck: true ChatUpdateCheck: true Text Stuff: Text On Break: true Text: '&4Text when &lbreak' Options: Silktouch: true Worlds: - ExampleWorld1 - ExampleWorld2
If UpdateCheck is set to true, it will print a message in the console when an update is available.
If ChatUpdateCheck is set to true, it will send you a message when you join the server if an update is available, also if you have the correct permission.
If Text On Break is set to true, you will get a message when you broke the ice block, if you have the correct permission.
Change "Text" string to the message you want to display to the player when he broke the block if 'Text On Break' is set to true and the player have the correct permission.
If Silktouch is set to true, you need a silktouch tool to break the ice.
If a world, let's say a world named ice is the world you want players to be able to get water from the ice, you just add the "ice" world name to the world list.
When you are done configuring, you have to reload the config. Do this by typing netherice reload in the console or type /netherice reload in the chat.

@addemod
Hi addemod. Have you had any luck with editing the plugin? :)
@Vivi_Coral
I were able to add silk touch to a hoe with the anvil. I just used a book and a hoe :P
I can make it so that you can set what kind of item you want to have silk touch!
If Silktouch is set to false, it will break into water as normal, but if Silktouch is set to true you can still get the water by not breaking the water with a silk touch item.
Edit: Oh, I will see what I can do :s
Also, I'm getting this message on joining:
When doing /netherice it returns (and is) the right version:
Does the command just say this is the latest version no matter what? Or does it actually check the current version?
Thanks for the response addemod, appreciate it :)
1) By hoe do you mean pickaxe? As far as I am aware you can only apply Silk Touch to a Pickaxe, Axe or Shovel. But it is very are on Axes and Shovels.
2) Is it possible to add it to Pickaxes?
3) Also, what happens if Silk Touch is set to false? Does this drop water, ice or nothing?
@Vivi_Coral
Oooh, I added that if silktouch is set to true, it will become water, else it will just break. I can add a boolean where you use a diamond hoe that has silktouch to get the ice block :)
Can you just confirm something addemod? As I don't have access to MC at the moment.
If you use a Silk Touch pick, I want to be able to get the Ice block itself. Where you have mentioned this:
"If Silktouch is set to true, you need a silktouch tool to break the ice."
Does this mean that if you use a Silk Touch pick, it will break into water? As this is not what I wanted :)
Or does it mean if Silktouch is set to true, when you use a Silktouch tool to break the ice it will give you the Ice block.
To summarise, this is what is best for everyone:
If you use a Silk Touch pick, I want to be able to get the Ice block itself.
If you use any other tool, water should form.**
@addemod
Will do! Thanks addemod :D
@Vivi_Coral
Done.
Wait for the new file to be approved.
Please can you add the following features:
- Allow for Silk Touch to be used on Ice in the Overworld normally. Currently breaking Ice with a Silk Touch turns it into Water unless I disable the plugin.
- Allow for multiple world compatibility, as when breaking Ice in the Overworld it says: "Replaced ICE with Water in Nether!"
- Allow OPs/Admins/Mods the ability to not see the "Replaced ICE with Water in Nether!" text
