Scarecrows
Working scarecrows!
With this plugin can players build own working scarecrows. How it works? When mobs went into configurable radius from scarecrow it will be teleported out.

Amazing plugin. Hopefully it can be updated to 1.5.2.
@Antideath100
:D ..no, I had that idea too, but I didn't add it to list (but you can make it in config v1.1+)
does it works for enderdragons?
Separate issue.
This occurs in console once and a while ...
Great mod ! Especially since I have not seen any other physical mob control method. It lends a lot of realism to my RPG server
I would like to make one request. We would like to have a different model so our cities do not have A: streets covered with scarecrows, or B: Scarecrows buried underground everywhere.
We would prefer to see a config file, that lets us define how a scarecrow is built, so we could configure the materials and shape required to craft a Scarecrow.
Right now we build a scarecrow, and bury it 4 blocks down, and place an obelisk on top of it as an indicator....
Something like this perhaps ...
It would be cooler if they ran out similar to when you attack a passive mob, it will run around in circles until it gets out of the scarecrows radius
i love this plugin so much! is it being updated for 1.3?
@damnnicholas
Nice video (tutorial). I want to make video too, but you been faster... Can I add it to plugin page?
Hey, i thought your plugin was pretty cool :) so i made a video showcase about it. Hope you like it!

can u make it like not teleporting out but like they will be pushed out they cant enter or something or they walk away from the scarecrow would be more realistic ofcourse
@Adrenalineq It can will be possible, but now no. (this is only first version of plugin)
@predawnia Same as Adrenalineq, in future...
@falsevacuum ...I am not very good in english, I will repair it. Yes code is complycated, becouse I work on It in style "When I had time, I wrote a line" If I want to continue on plugin, I will must revrite it.
@Zombiemold Yes, I don't add all causes... and nice idea to turn off scarecrows.
Possible to teleport out griefers? ;>
Is it possible to control the number of scarecrows a person can create?
Maybe permission nodes like. scarecrows.place.x where "x" is the configurable number of scarecrows allowed per group or person.
I hate to say this, but... "hostile" is the correct spelling, not "hostie". It sucks to have to distribute configuration changes :/
Also, have you considered changing the mob's pathing to send it away? I think that would be cool. I started look at my decompiled Bukkit source code and it's super complicated (and not deobfuscated, except for the class names), but it would be really cool!
I think you would extend the class net.minecraft.server.PathfinderGoal, and override c() to walk the Entity out of the area. It would be difficult but epic :D
Loving this! It's really great! Super awesome idea, great and simple plugin.
2 issues I have found right off the bat.
1) Scarecrows do not update if they have been "exploded".
A creeper came near a scarecrow, and it exploded, causing it to break, but the plugin still thought the scarecrow was alive. Additionally, if the scarecrow is exploded by any sort of explosion like a fireball, or a TNT, it still remains to be a scarecrow, even if destroyed.
2) Scarecrows don't update their status if any of the blocks are changed by other events. For instance, if you use Falsebook or Commandbook, you can make pumpkins into Jack-o-lanterns with a lever. If you put a lever on a jack-o-lantern that is a scarecrow, the scarecrow doesn't care if you turn OFF the jack-o-lantern, and make it a regular pumpkin. This would be great if it worked like you can toggle it on and off.
Please ask me a question if any of this seemed confusing to you, it's hard to describe what I am talking about, but I think I did ok.
@Zombiemold
It is M1nerMDCs idea (http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/req-working-scarecrows.83268/)
This is a brilliant idea. Does it actually build the scarecrow?
