RealisticExplosives
RealisticExplosives
What is RealisticExplosives?
RealisticExplosives is a simple, yet fun tweak to explosions in servers. It makes it so instead of explosions simply removing the blocks they affect, blocks are blasted out in all directions!
Installation and Usage
To use RealisticExplosives, simply put the jar file you download into your plugins directory. After running or reloading the server, you can then edit the config file, which only has a few simple options. "chance" in config changes the percentage of affected blocks the are launched. "dropItems" determines whether the debris from explosions will drop items. You should probably keep that false. "effects" is whether you want explosions to give players that are too close a confusion potion effect or blindness effect. "excluded" is the list of block ID numbers that should not be hurled out after explosions. It is probably wise to keep this default.
Once you have the file in your plugins directory and configured, have fun blowing stuff up! :D
The only command in RealisticExplosives is "/realisticexplosives" or "/re" for short. It toggles the plugin on or off. The plugin defaults to on. The permission for this command is "realisticexplosives.toggle".

Thanks to Grushka for the second video!
Have Fun!
1.8.8 and still works, amazingly well coded nice work, and its the only realistic explosion plugin with reasonable explosion radious distance
could you add that you could choose which blocks could blow up?
Keep up-to-date ^_^
Nice Plugin man !
But there is one thing can you make a timer so the blocks that fly around will be removed after a few of seconds or hours or minuts.
Thanks Man !
Update pleas
Your plugins are impressive! Nice work, subscribed on youtube.
How does this plugin get along with CreeperHeal? (ie, are the scattered blocks removed by creeperheal?)
@thebiologist13
Sounds great :)
I've recently started picking up Java programming myself now that I've finished up for the summer :) really interested in some of the new API's that bukkit have released that allow functions such as this.
Such a great plugin!!! ^_^ moar!! updates!!!
@Baamoink
It's going well! I know how I will do each of the requested things, but I have been VERY busy with all of my other plugins as well. I'm literally actively developing four of my own plugins (CustomSpawners, CustomSpawnersEco, RealisticExplosives, and Breadcrumb), two unreleased plugins, and three other plugins for various servers.
So, yeah. xD
It won't take long to do program the features for RealisticExplosives though. :)
Thanks!

How's development coming on? :)
@Baamoink @GlobalRadge
Alright, I will look into adding all of those things! :D
@anratork59
Thanks!
@toxictroop
I actually haven't tried that yet, I will have to check it out! XD

Woah the best part is the enderdragon ripping up the map!! xD
awsome!!!
This would be even better if it had a way to enable the effects per world instead of just disabling/enabling it for the whole server.
I'll be keeping an eye on this plug-in, a couple of my own wants have already been listed by CommodoreAlpha :)
@CommodoreAlpha
Hi!
I will work on these tweaks as soon as I can. Also, could you post it as a ticket, that would make it a lot easier for me. :) Thanks!
@toxictroop
To fix that, just add the ID "46" in the "excluded" list in config. :)

Hey when you explode multiple tnt sometimes the others don't explode and get launched, could you provide a fix for that please?
EPIC! thats all i have to say.. o.o
Could you make an optional feature so that the falling-block-entities that are spawned by this plugin do not "create" any blocks upon hitting the ground? This would be useful for servers that use CreeperHeal and would like to be tidy.
(Basically, if the debris doesn't form blocks, you get no ugly debris scattered everywhere, and the explosion is completely healed; if debris resulted in block creation, there would be a duplication issue with CreeperHeal.)
Two additional features that you could add, but wouldn't be important to the plugin anyway, would be:
And a last note; multiworld support would be nice. This would basically mean having the plugin effect certain worlds only.
Should I post this as a ticket?
