Dang, the download for the newer 2.0.0 version isn't working at the moment. I didn't even realize it existed until now.. :/ I hope it goes back up. I really need the new features, it will let me remove a couple redundant plugins from my server, if it works. :D
Also, the way you're doing the new scoreboard features, are you saving it directly to the teams? Or are you doing a form of work-around where you can abuse the output of the scoreboard without saving that data to the actual scoreboard.dat? I think NametagEdit does something like that, to help avoid conflicts with actual game-play teams.
Ah ok! I've been using jchat for as long as I remember using Bukkit, so if you've got new features, I wouldn't mind helping you test it. :D
Sorry for the delayed reply, I hadn't remembered to check here. :(
@NikoKun
I have it working now so we can have colour formatting and prefixes in the player list. People are divided into teams based on prefix that they have.
If you would like to test it let me know.
@NikoKun
Actually I just found the scoreboard API in bukkit! Looks exciting!
@NikoKun
I don't think there is an API for the scoreboard yet in Bukkit. The issue with colouring list names is that if someone has a name that is 16 letters long and you add colour to it you have to shorten the name or risk disconnecting players.
It is something I want to do, just waiting for the API to catch up.
@NikoKun
It is available from maven repository. It will be released here soon.
I've been getting this message for about a day now: [jChat] A new version of jChat (1.6.3) is available.
Any chance this might get an update to include feature compatibility with the new vanilla scoreboard? Like setting up colors in the Tab List, groups compatible with jchat's ranks, or displaying various stats in the list.
@Waterworth12
Same here, using bpermissions
I think i could be because check call is too fast, because if i switch from a world where im "admin" to a world where im "user" im still admin, but if i switch to a world where im "user" im "user" in the world where im supposed to be "admin" So if u think about that, it could be that the call is reading out the old mapname
@Waterworth12
Same here, with bukkit permissions
@grandwazir
When changing a rank with pex the wrapper does not update until you /jchat reload
@Waterworth12
I do not understand what it is no longer doing. I have not built any of this with PEX in mind. Could you explain in detail?
jchat no longer autoupdates ranks wrapper when they are set a group in PEX. Please fix, this plugin is amazing.
@NikoKun
It is useful for things like that yes. I imagine that Disguise craft is just setting the player name back to normal rather than back to what it was before.
DisguiseCraft seems to mess up the colors when you undisguise? Is that what the /jchat refresh command is for? lol
@Umonical
He's using PermissionsBukkit -.- So what he's done is correct
@Lukeover9000
/jchat refresh [user] ^_^ Though I think you've probably fixed that problem since you haven't replied in months...
@lukeover9000
Sorry for the late reply, it is much better to ask for support on GitHub I am more likely to read it. You still having issues with jChat?
@Lukeover9000
i know its been months but ive noticed a problem in your code...
jchat.prefix.default true is wrong instead its just
---------------------------
jchat.prefix.default
well it worked for me so it will for you :)
Dear grandwazir...
Ive used jchat with permissionsbukkit, with the permission nodes and i also did what i was supposed to do with then config file for jchat. But since ive used the permission ndes and the colours in both config, wich for the jchat the prefix was "[N]"with a gray color for new users. Anyway ive typed for myself - /permissions player addgroup lukeover9000 owner - since ive done that and wrote something, my name was still with the [N] prefix (for new players), i didnt get any error on the console, i have all the permissions, but the colored prefix is wrong, while it was supposed to be [O/D]lukeover9000 red colored.Since i really need a fix to it, im posting here my both config files, for permissionsbukkit and jchat:
Like I said i did not get any errors in the console, i just needed the prefixes to work right for each group, if you know a fix for it, please let me know.
Sincerily, Lukeover9000
P.S: I know im still a noob at plugins, i just need some help with this. Thanks.
@groszyk
Giving someone the * gives them all permissions. In doing so jChat will check through the prefixes in turn until it comes across one the player has and then will give it to them.
Turn on debugging (config.yml, debugging: true) and find out which prefix it is giving your Co-Owner. If you are denying them the permission it should give them the next prefix down (which I assume is Co-Owner). I suspect that the deniel is not working though.
