Global Time
Global Time
Version: v1.2.2
(Follow me on Twitter for updates!)
Global Time is a plugin created by Staartvin from a request.
Do you have a lot of players from different countries playing on your server? Are they complaining about the time you're not online?
Well, then Global Time has to be yours! Global Time broadcasts the global server time every X time. The interval between the broadcasts is configurable. Global Time will broadcasts the System machine time! Not the in-game Minecraft time. Also, when a player performs the /global or /time command, Global Time shows the current system time.
Features:
- Helps players understand what time it is without asking
- Very lightweight
- Very simple
- Drop and Use
- Permissions
- Regularly updated
- Customisable
Permissions:
- - globaltime.time Allows a player to get the current server time.
- - globaltime.reload Allows a player to reload Global Time.
Commands:
- /global Shows times in configurable timezones.
- /globaltime Alias to /global
- /globaltime reload Reload Global Time.
Pictures:
Message shown when a player performs /global or when server broadcasts time.
Donations
I'm a poor student and I'm developing this plugin in my free-time, if you like my plugin and want to help me, please donate. Donating is the best way to help me out, it goes towards more bug-fixing. Thanks! Donate is in the top right corner. ;)
Donators
Thanks to all the people who donated and downloaded this plugin! I love you all! <3 Especially thanks to my donators who gave me that little boost:

Hi!
Let me know if you can fix it.
Thanks for this wonderful plugin!
great plugin, very nice but can you check the tickets i made a ticket with a little enhanchement
i was wondering what canadian atlantic would look like new to plugin i checked the examples but couldnt find it
Ok so apparently this mod only the shows the date of mod installation. not the current date.
Any way we can use 12 hour clock? or both?
possible to change the /global command so not to conflict with the many chat plugins that use it for the global channel
@Staartvin
I will recreate what i had as like I said it reverts it back to the default :P
EDIT: Here is the config (latest build): http://pastebin.com/3Ft1rUU5
@ViscousSummer88
Hmm, can you show me your text? This is not happening to me?
For the colour codes, I think I'm not able to change that so easily. Bukkit has this built-in feature with the paragraph signs.
@Staartvin
Awesome. One thing is... when you wish to change the text inside the config, it seems to revert it back to the default. Also, is there a way so you can fix the formatting codes to &, just makes it a lil easier :P
@ViscousSummer88
New version uploaded with the date option! :)
Thanks for the update \o/
Maybe an option for it to read the date? Maybe command to reload the plugin?
@JeterLP
I'm not from Germany, but I am in Europe, GMT + 1 (CET)
@Staartvin: are you from germany? Because Im from germaby and when I make the command, it says (central european time), too
@ViscousSummer88
I will add that. ;)
Thank you!
@Staartvin
Maybe an option to change from global time to 'Server Time' or 'System Time'
@ViscousSummer88
I'm worried about that too.
@Danteland
The real time and season is a great idea yet I can see it causing real lag issues a TPS issues.
@JeterLP
There is a plugin for doing such: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/redstone-clock-detector/ It does not stop the current I don't believe but does announce the postion.
Can you make a plugin that stops redstone clocks? so if a redstone clock is detected by the plugin it stops the activity of the clock. For my server, this would save a lot of resources.
