Global Time
Global Time
Version: v1.2.2
(Follow me on Twitter for updates!)
Global Time is a plugin created by Staartvin from a request.
Do you have a lot of players from different countries playing on your server? Are they complaining about the time you're not online?
Well, then Global Time has to be yours! Global Time broadcasts the global server time every X time. The interval between the broadcasts is configurable. Global Time will broadcasts the System machine time! Not the in-game Minecraft time. Also, when a player performs the /global or /time command, Global Time shows the current system time.
Features:
- Helps players understand what time it is without asking
- Very lightweight
- Very simple
- Drop and Use
- Permissions
- Regularly updated
- Customisable
Permissions:
- - globaltime.time Allows a player to get the current server time.
- - globaltime.reload Allows a player to reload Global Time.
Commands:
- /global Shows times in configurable timezones.
- /globaltime Alias to /global
- /globaltime reload Reload Global Time.
Pictures:
Message shown when a player performs /global or when server broadcasts time.
Donations
I'm a poor student and I'm developing this plugin in my free-time, if you like my plugin and want to help me, please donate. Donating is the best way to help me out, it goes towards more bug-fixing. Thanks! Donate is in the top right corner. ;)
Donators
Thanks to all the people who donated and downloaded this plugin! I love you all! <3 Especially thanks to my donators who gave me that little boost:
- Nobody yet :(
@Staartvin
It would be really awesome if it was configured by year as well. So when its winter it gets darker earlier in the day. And when its summer it get brighter for a longer time.
@Danteland
Thanks for making it clear to me ;) I'll see what I can do. I can't promise anything yet.
I think mafima means that if its night outside the real world the game has nighttime as well. And if it is day the game is day. So lets say if you look out your window irl and you are in the same timezone as the server. And you see the sunset. Then you will also see the sunset ingame. And if its night irl it is night in the game. I would also donate for a plugin like this, If you make the length of the days configurable and not only 24h long.
@JeterLP
Yeah, that's the temporary solution. I have uploaded a version to BukkitDev. It needs to be approved.
@mafima
What do you mean? I can make something if you want?
oh, I thought it would be a playgin that sets the minecraft time like the real time in all my worlds. for such a plugin I would donate 10 ;)
for my server, I had to remove it by myself ;)
would be nice
@JeterLP
Whoops, sorry!
@Staartvin
you should remove the /time command, because it overrides the /time command from bukkit, and users cant set the time on their server.

I've uploaded a v1.1 :D
@deleted_7444486
Sorry for the delay, I'm working on it. It'll be done before the end of the year ;)
Update for 1.4.6?
@deleted_7444486
Ok
@Staartvin
I mean so it can broadcast more than the server machines time, so if someone did /globaltime it would show 3 timezones instead of the server machine time...
@deleted_7444486
What would you like to broadcast?
Can this support timezones other than the machine its hosted on? For example, my server has 3 mods 1 from UK (me) 1 from NY, USA & 1 from SF, USA
All different times, but the server is hosted at NY, so is there a way to make it broadcast more than the server timezone?
@JeterLP
It has been released! ;)
I need this as well.
