BanNull
When running a server, Owners can get hackers that get on without a username, especially in Offline-Mode. Because /ban must contain a field with the user's name, many Owners can be stuck with a griefing or spamming user that they can't ban, or even kick.
BanNull fixes that!
BanNull is a simple, lightweight plugin that can fix this bug in servers. It kicks users with no username, a username that is a bunch of spaces, or users that have a "/" in thier username. To protect hacking, the kick message is blank, making the users think that something is wrong with the server.
Upcoming Features:
- config.yml For custom kick messages and toggling whether the plugin is enabled or not
- Source Link
This plugin is Public Domain, I really don't care what you do with it! Feel free to edit it or use it wherever you want.
Perfect! :)
But you could implement that kicked players get a customisable message why they got kicked?
When i type "/ban " it tells me, Bans a player. /ban <player> [reason]
@StanvL
It should work with any 1.3.1 servers
Update it to 1.3.1-R2.0
@ghost76549
It doesn't make one.
Where is the folder and config.yml? It did not make on when the server started.
Dude I have your plugin and just got a spammer with no name and he had * in it.
@winter4w
Thanks for suggestions! I'll update it ASAP!
Can you also make it able not to do / for a EX: /winter4w
I had someone from TeamAvo come on my server with no username... This meant they were able to bypass all the permissions and most of the other plugins, meaning I had to do a rollback to undo the damage they had done. This looks like a good plugin and if I still ran my server in offline mode, I'd install this.
@Adondriel
Yes
This is for mainly offline servers correct?
In fact, I have had this problem before and I had to search the console for their IP, ban it, then kickall. Thanks a ton!
I've never seen a user without a user name.. I'm not sure I would need this but if I ever come across one I'll definitely consider.
Didn't even know about this problem. As soon as you get this up I'll be sure to download it unless I come across something before then as I notice this is a "planning" plugin currently.
