PistonStorage
PistonStorage is a way for you to be able to push and pull blocks into/from chests. This may be useful for cobblestone generators that automatically push the generated cobble into a chest for ease of access.
Simplicity
This plugin was meant to be kept simple, it was originally a discontinued plugin but I got bored one night and decided to update it again as I had many messages asking for it to be updated.
Compatibility
This plugin should be backwards-compatible as far back as Minecraft 1.4.7, and up to 1.6.1.
Greetings, I really like this plugin design, but I will admit, i just found it and have not tested it out, but would make a grat finish for the machine I am making, so any chance at seeing an update soon? please and thank you for the work in advance
i am using with 1.6.4 and works fine
but if i try to fill a double chest, it only fills half , if you push blocks to left side it fills top half, and if you push them to right side it fills bottom half .. after that pistons doesnt add more items, cant take advantage of full chest
another problem is sometimes inside chests appears a weird item named "tile.null.name" with sticky piston plank icon
Sorry for the inactivity, I'll be fixing the below issues soon.
As for the protection, this is intended and I won't be adding permissions for it.
Permissions?
If you protect a chest, and then you try to insert an block with a piston, it doesn't insert.
@Shraven420
It also ocurres with the wool
when a piston pushes wood into a chest it changes from spruce into oak is it possible to fix this?
Hey I've made a video showing how this plugin can be used for a cobblestone generator :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKRzovA7FCY
I'll do a test run in a bit.
The picture you have is after we were trying out a different pistonchest plugin, so you are not seeing the results from PistonStorage lol
@Liger_XT5
Hi again, download the dev version of PistonStorage from http://cain.im/dl/PistonStorage.jar and see if those issues are fixed.
@Liger_XT5
Interesting, I'll see if I can support LWC in the next update. Also i Just logged onto your server and found that PistonChest is currently active on your server, two plugins running that do the same thing won't work out too well.
I also found where you were testing, haha.
neat mechanic
We just added your plugin, as our last pistonchest plugin started having odd bugs, though the plugin hasn't had updates in a while.
We found a fairly humorous bug.
If the chest is unlocked, putting blocks in and pulling our works fine.
If the chest is locked, let's say from LWC, the pull doesn't work too well. The piston will expand but detract. If you then open the chest, ALL the blocks are pulled out into one space and the extension part of the piston vanishes and you see just the base.
PistonStorage has been updated.

Turns out it's also related to a bukkit coding glitch. The events are being fired more than once in certain scenarios.

We need this to be fixed.
It duplicates blocks that get destroyed by pistons, like levers. also I need to to be like this to make the block go into a chest:
Piston-block-air-chest
And it puts 2 of the item in, not 1 therefore duplicating the blocks :/
I need this badly though so please fix!
A bug that allwos duplicating ? Is it fixed ? How about contacing the developers?
Can't see how such should be related to NoCheatPlus, am interested...

If you want, you can contact the developer directly here.

Let me know if it gets updated to save lost blocks, and My best Idea for fixing it with a full chest, is to check the chest first, if it's full, then it does not push the block at all. I am looking forward to using this, I have a server donation bank that only takes blocks and stacks them, kind of a fun way to run a Server bank other then chests, but For overflow I want to use something like this.
