About
Zoom is a simple Bukkit plugin that allows you to zoom in and out when you left/right (configurable) click with a configurable object in your hand. I got the idea from hawkfalkon's wonderful plugin Vertigo.

Ok, cool, why do my players need it?
Well, it is useful for you and your players to spy on each other, or shoot each other with arrows. It is a great addition to any PvP server.
What if I just want to add it for my administrators?
No problem!
This plugin will also come in handy to zoom in and do some far modifications with plugins like VoxelSniper.
Zoom can also assist you as a video recording too. We also think it is a much needed game mechanic.
Features
- Zoom in and out clicking with an item!
- Configurable zoom levels!
- Zoom out when you change item held!
- Automatically zoom out completely when damaged!
- All of this is, of course, configurable!

How to use
Hold the magic item (that you set in the config file) and left/right click (again, based on what you set in the config file).
Permissions
Simply add the permission zoom.use to any player which you want to allow using. By default, only operators are given this node.
Configuration
The configuration is really simple, everything is explained in the file.
It should look like this when first using the plugin.

No feature is too small, and no question is too stupid. If there is a feature you really want though, why not implement it yourself and make a pull request? :D

question, lets say you pick bedrock as your Magic Item can the player place said item on the ground and or use it? and would setting other items that are more common in the world cause them to no longer be usable?

Seems like something (client or server, I assume client) was "fixed" to not allow negative walk speeds anymore, the ones which turn the view upside-down (rip vertigo) or are responsible for a wider zoom :( ..

Could be.. Will be testing, I'll keep you guys up to date. If I find there's an issue but I find an alternative, I'll also let you guys know.
Could it be that this zoom effect via walk speed changing isn't working that well anymore with 1.6.x ?

Could you please send me your configuration file so I can look further into it? There's absolutely no issues here.
When you zoom, it only zooms in until level 2 and after that it does not zoom in further, but still changes the levels. Any idea why this would happen?

It's possible but personally I think it could be weird to the user to zoom in suddenly while crouching... it could be a possibility though!
Is there a way you can make it so that it zooms... Let's say when one crouches for a few seconds while holding a bow? Or not possible? I know of another plugin that does this, so I think it's possible.

That would be slightly impractical though as we'd zoom in every time we crouch which isn't expected behavior.

Sadly this is Bukkit, we can't modify the way the client behaves. Trust me, if it was possible, we would have already implemented it :)
If you can make it so you can press the ctrl button to zoom in, it would be alot better/easier.

BitBucket suits me fine, do as you wish. I'm not used to Maven yet, but I guess I'll end up learning in the end... go on! :3
@lemon42 I think I am going to move the source from github to bitbuket, and use maven for builds. Is that fine with you?

would be cool if you can make it so we can define how much each item can zoom, lets say i use a custom recipe plugin to add a crossbow, a bow with a diferent damage value renamed as crossbow, and let us make it so the corossbow can zoom to 12, and the normal bow to 8.

Sadly no, it's how the plugin works. Unless you mean removing other potion effects which may be affecting the player at the time of zooming in?
