Features

Description
WeaponLevels allows you to level up your weapons and tools as you use them, making them more powerful! The level and experience are displayed right under the item name, adding a slick new look to your server! Every time you hit or kill a mob or player, the weapon you're using will gain experience. As it levels up, it's damage will increase and the color of the item name will change.

Item Stages
Stages can be set in stages.yml. As your items level up, they will reach each stage and receive the color, enchantments, and any bonuses that are set.
Commands
- /wl version - Shows the current version of the plugin.
- /wl reload - Reloads the plugin config files. OP only.
- /wl setlevel <level> - Sets the level of the currently held item.
Permissions
- weaponlevels.* - Allows all items.
- weaponlevels.<stage> - Allows <stage> items
- weaponlevels.setlevel - Allows use of /wl setlevel
Enchantments
Enchantments can be set for each level stage in the config. The list of enchantments is separated by commas. Each enchantment is formatted with two numbers separated by a period. The first number is the ID of the enchantment (Click here for the ID list), and the second number is the level of the enchantment. So if the enchantment is "5.3", it would be Respiration III. Or, if it were "17.5", it would be Smite V.

NOTICE
Version 1.2.6 has been posted and is awaiting approval by a moderator before it will be available for download.
Please note that this is a development build that was rushed in order to fix multiple bugs from the previous version, so use it at your own risk. I had to rush it because I'm going on vacation for a week and will not be able to code during that time.
Some changes to be noted:
- Now uses only 4 config files: config.yml, stages.yml, groups.yml, items.yml
- Stages.yml defines all of the stages.
- There is now a "bonuses" section that contains things such as damage, armor, etc.
- Ignore groups.yml and items.yml for now; they haven't been fully implemented yet.
- When fishing, you can now receive fish of different levels; the higher level your fishing rod, the higher chance you have of catching high-level fish
- Stages now have a "food" bonus which increases the fullness you gain from eating food of that level
- Many items have their experience bars removed; this will be configurable in the next update

Can you make it when say a sword levels up it has a percent chance to add a enchant and pops up on your screen if you got one or not and make it that you can add your own custom enchants to it and you can make it a different chance for every level also when you add a enchant you cant make it the efficiency jump from level 1 to level 5 in 1 upgrade.
Example:
level 1 : 100 % chance to get efficiency or fortune
level 2 : 80 % chance to get unbreaking
ect.......
(like cosmic prison where you level up and have a percent chance to get a random custom enchant)

but how do you diff between weapons and tools or armor for the enchantments, as is you wind up with smite on chest or feather falling on pick axe

make this so gamemode is restricted so people in gamemode cant accidentally level weapons, and your good

damage did not effect. LV1 axe`s dps =LV20 axe`s
Try this file(tested with 1.7.9), if it works I'll try to get in contact with the dev and pick this up

Je tiens a exprimer mes arguments sur le fait que je soit contre cet argument, car cette suppression porte atteinte a LA LICENCE sous laquelle se porte ce plugin et à un manque d'informations TOTAL.
1) Suppression sans préavis ni demande d'informations
RPSW a été supprimé aujourd'hui il y a moins d'une heure, sans aucun avertissement ni demande d'informations concernant le projet. un des arguments cités:
"Please contact the original author(s) if you want to fix/update their plugin instead of making your own project for it."
Minefrench? Je te laisse donner tes arguments ainsi que ton avis concernant cette partie de leur décision.
2) Une fausse idée de l'idée et de l'esprit de RPSW
Cela s'explique par le simple fait du mot fan dans leur argument:
"We do not accept unofficial fan updates on BukkitDev."
Certes ce plugin a pour memes fonctionnalités certaines du plug in original et a pour but d'améliorer la meme facette du gameplay de minecraft MAIS en aucun cas il s'agit de lui faire hommage ou de copier son idée, nous avons notre projet déjà bien défini et qui ne se limite pas a cet aspect des choses, nous comptons faire bien plus et creer de nous meme des choses qui n'ont pas été prises en compte par ce plug in! rien que pour l'exemple, la compatibilité avec armes et equipements venant de mods, l'evolution progressive des outils level par level quels que soit les paliers definis car la progression des stats s'y adapterait, des apparitions possibles de loots aléatoirement levellés selon differents critères... etc!
3) Une atteinte à la licence même du plugin
Petit rappel de la situation, RPSW se base effectivement en partie sur le code source de WeaponsLevels en citant l'auteur original de celui ci qui autorise justement ce genre de dérivés par sa licence GNU (GNU General Public License version 3 (GPLv3)) , en voici d'ailleurs les extraits précisant cela:
"The licenses for most software and other practical works are designed to take away your freedom to share and change the works. By contrast, the GNU General Public License is intended to guarantee your freedom to share and change all versions of a program--to make sure it remains free software for all its users. "
Et ainsi une autre partie qui démontre aussi l'esprit dans lequel cette license a été crée et rappelle son but:
"States should not allow patents to restrict development and use of software on general-purpose computers, "
