setup/webstats
Webstats
When the plugin is finished, there will be three ways to implement webstats, using the php backend on a webserver, using the php backend with the minecraft server acting as a interface to your database, and the last option, letting your minecraft server be the webserver. So far only the php backend has been implemented.
Option 1: PHP backend on a webserver
This option requires that you have a webserver and that your sql database is accessible to this webserver. Copy the webstats folder to your webserver ftp. once its up on your site, edit the db_con.php file to match your sql settings on your server. Once finished goto the page and you should see your webstats.
I think there's something missing here. You don't tell where the webstats folder should go into. Is it on the root, or the plugins, or the survivalgames subfolder?
Also, there's nothing in your config that allows for the port, so I suppose it should go at the end of the host? like xx.xx.xx.xx:3306
Either way, I tried all 3 and my server simply doesn't load any information right now :(
If there could be a youtube tutorial that would be great too.
Not very clear to me how this works, a youtube tutorial is a good idea..
@All of you
The webstats folder should be located on your webserver, for example: public_html/ExampleSite/Minecraft/webstats/
Enter the MySQL username, password, ip, database name etc. in the db_con.php and it should be good to go :)
If you rename the Webstats folder to e.g. stats, your webname will change to without any config changes: public_html/ExampleSite/Minecraft/stats/
Our stats are implemented on our site, not all is located where it should be, but it is looking nice: http://newtimegaming.net/minecraft/sgstats/index.php
@GoodTryBro
I am going to do one, if i can figure mine out, i think i did it, just waiting for it to take effect.
Well the stinking webpage gives me a stinking error!
Server error The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.keatonburleson.com/minecraft/webstats/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly. Here are some suggestions: Reload this webpage later. HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.
Used the freaking data from the freaking Survival Game SQL config file << That Works!
Here it is:
$dbhost='instance18518.db.xeround.com:12294'; Host name $dbuser='128keaton'; Mysql username $dbpass='PASSWORD'; Mysql password $dbname='survrep'; Database name $dbprefix = 'sg_'; Table Prefix
My password IS in the password thing.
What it the table prefix?
You need a web server (I reccomend 000webhost.com) and upload everything in webstats to there. Then set up the database in db_con.php :)
I get the Internal Server Error 500 as I might know this is probably caused by File System permissions. What should it be set to? Because if I tryed to set it to 644 I get the Forbidden 403 Error. http://thedominionmc.com/webstats/ That is the page.
Hello,
I setup a quick scheduled task on the Windows server running the Survival games. it uses psftp to copy the webstats folder to my web server (another location). Can you tell me which files would need to be updated to reflect current stats? I want to keep it as quick a transfer as possible.
Thank you,
jeff

Wrong username/password combination.
What is wrong?
Is the PHP Webserver required? Or is it just Optional?
@Lolmewn

Please help, getting this error when connecting to my webstats server after setting up db_con.php with correct mySQL information
I have a question. I setup everything perfectly and got webstats up however its only local, i want to be something like bulletphase.com/sg How do i do this? my provider is GoDaddy Thanks.
you should add the abillity to make players spawn in a random spawn-points. cause now everyone is spawning right beside each other in our survivalgames arena... :(
@ProdKid On your website, create a directory in your website root directory and then upload the files there! Simple. In you case, create a folder called 'sg' and upload the files there.
