I get the same error as chsdev. Running the command manually works, but it's not provided by default or on death.
The only thing that this plugin needs is multiple kits, example /sk save [name] then /sk load [name] thats it, simple and very very effective.
On my server if this plugin was able to have multiple kits then I could give my Elf class a kit, my Orc's etc etc when they select there race when joining.
Think about adding this feature as I know 100% everyone wants this added.

There are a lot of features that people are requesting which are out of the scope of StarterKit. What I might do is fork the plugin so there is one which is a general kit plugin and the other is just to giving people a kit when they first login.

You need to look in a file in your server folder called server.log to see what the error is.

This is not easy to do. Not from a code perspective but from a logic perspective. At the moment players can only login to one world when they start and that is the main world. Adding this would mean I would need to keep track of if a player has joined a world before. But what happens if that player takes some stuff with them? Do they lose it? Does the kit merge with their inventory?

I don't use Essentials so I am unable to help you sorry. Maybe someone else has experience with it here.
Is there a way to get this working with Essentials? I've disabled the kit in the Essentials config I believe but new players now just load with an empty inventory.
You should make the message deletable when you get the starterkit. Or editable.

Hey you should add starting kits per world.. Example: /sk save [survival]
permission: starterkit.world.survival
or somthing like that... it would be very useful. Thanks

Could you also look into making per-world kits? I can't find a plugin anywhere that will do this. I really want to make a kit spawn in a players' inventory when they join Factions for the first time.

That option already exists. Check config.yml for the relevant option.

New players (people who have never joined the server before) will get the kit automatically.

This seems like a plugin conflict. Try it with just StarterKit. If it works then give me the list of the plugins you are using when it breaks.

At the moment only one kit is supported.
could you make it so you can config a way to make them respawn with the kit? that would help alot
Work's perfectly but how can i make more as One Starterkits ?
With /sk save saves allways the same Starterkit (only one)

OK the items don't vanish anymore when people right click them, but new players still don't get items
Hello, I'm having some trouble, when a new player joins they don't get a kit and when I do /sk load <name> it works but when they right click the book or the compass it just vanishes
is there a way to make it so they don't have to do /sk load and automatically get the kit?

There is a new version available though! I have changed the updater in the latest version so it only tells you about builds that have been approved and are on BukkitDev.
You can turn the updater off by setting automatic-updates to false.

Hello. I am using your plugin since 1.3.1 version, it is great, always works, players love it. But now it says that it is new version available, even if it isn't. Can you please tell me with what do i have to replace "method: notify" that it won't say nothing?
