You need to set up permissions. Use bpermissions, permissionsbukkit, or permissionsex.
@conetopia3000
Umm that is what this plugin does.
When a person logs in for the first time they get the kit. Obviously you will not be able to test this yourself unless you delete your .dat file from the player directory.
It isn't expected you give people permission to use /sk load. Whatever durability an item has when you save the kit is carried over. An exact copy of your inventory is used when you use /sk save.
@lolitsthad
Please turn debugging on, update to the latest version and post relevant logs if you think you have found a bug. It works fine on my server.
@Kanud
I am glad when people tell me they enjoy my work! You are right, I should update the description. That feature snuck in a whole back.
As for MCEdit lore, I have never tried it, although I do know it works fine with Tekkit.
The title of this plug-in is very very misleading. I thought this was a starter kit plugin. this is just a kits plugin. /kit /kit tools /kit dtools
Diamond axe comes at 50% durability btw... idk how..
was looking for a plugin so that when new people join the server, they would get a starter kit.
I can confirm this works for me with 1.4.7 R1, and I want to personally add that I'm extremely grateful that this plugin is still maintained. I've been installing numerous kitplugins and configuring them so players would recieve a kit at first spawn and at every respawn. You don't mention this a lot in your post, which I think you should. It's a great feature!
It's for a quite unique gamemode I've been trying to find a plugin like this, and StarterKit just works great and is much easier to update the kit with than the others, and easy to have named items with. Next thing for me is to see if this plugin works with items with "lore" (text via mcedit).
Doesn't work with 1.4.7. It lets me save a kit, but new players are not receiving it.

@chlitto
How do you mean? I am pretty sure you can put Ender chests in kits at the moment.

WHY ONLY OPS CAN DO THIS COMMAND??? (/sk load)
hey whats the permissions like where r they?
@ThatGuyInTheDumpster
He didn't change some code. Don't worry there isn't any new version. It's just a little problem :)
@Cyborax
Same prob here!
My server tell me that ther is a new version of starterkit v1.30 but i cant find a download here?!
@grandwazir
Why are not you allowed to share other downloadlinks when 95% of all plugindevs do it? .. But nice with an update :)
@TheFighter11
You have to wait for the DevBukkit staff to approve the update. There is somewhere else you can download it but I am not allowed to give alternative download links anymore.
Hey, how do I update to version 1.3.0?
@schneiderwm
This has been added as an option in 1.3.0. Enjoy!
Supports written books in StarterKits as of Bukkit development builds 1.4.6 onwards. No update is required for StarterKit for this to work. Have fun!
@schneiderwm
Feel free to edit the source code anyway you like. All you have to do is retain the GPL.
To do this all you would need to do is add the following statement to the player PlayerListener file:
Not checked if it works but it should in principle.
@RustyDagger
It only lists commands you have permissions to use. Give yourself OP and try again.
