Staff
Staff
Description
Simple plugin to notify players on the server who is in charge and who the main staff are.
It is easily configurable, the config.yml can be edited to show who the owner(s) is,
and to show up to any other 10 ranks and the players in them.
Please leave suggestions of ways to improve the plugin as I would love to help and make this plugin grow to be awesome!
Commands
- /staff - Shows a list of all the staff.
- /staff <rank> - Shows a list of all the players in a specific rank.
- /staff ranks - Lists the ranks.
- /staff help - Lists the commands.
Installation
Open up the .zip folder and drag the contents into your
server plugin folder. Make sure you drag BOTH
the folder named 'Staff' and the 'Staff.jar' into your
plugins folder
Configuration
For help on configuration, this video has information on it.
This is what your config.yml will look like:
Permissions
The permission node for the commands is simply: staff.command
Donations
I program my plugins in my spare time and I mainly do it for fun.
A small donation would me so much to me and I would appreciate it
greatly so I can continue to make and maintain my plugins.
@DaThresh Thats what I'm planning on doing next
@Haza2169
Maybe you could add in-game commands to edit the config file?
@DaThresh
haha, easily done :)
@Haza2169
So sorry, this was my bad!
@DaThresh
The Staff v3.0 zip file contains 3 Things: Folder named staff containing config.yml, Staff.jar and a readme file. You need to drag BOTH the folder and the jar into your servers plugin folder. Then all should work :D If you just drag the jar file into the plugins folder, it does not create a config yml

@Haza2169
Haza, I clicked the link for v3.0 and then when I downloaded it, it all worked fine except one thing. I didn't have a staff file in the server already, I ran the server and it didn't create one. I opened staff.jar with 7zip and I found the config in there. I'm assuming it's supposed to be in the folder. I don't know if this was just me or what, but I did notice this.
@DaThresh
New update out, you can add up to 10 ranks, if config.yml isnt clear, check the video link under the installation section :)

1.4.6 compatible
@FS7777777
It is 1.4.6 compatible, it just says 1.4.5.
@Haza2169
Alright sweet, I can use the three until then.
can you updated this plugin to 1.4.6
@DaThresh
Not currently, but in future updates I will add that, but for now the maximum is 3. I will release the update in a couple of weeks :)
Can you not add more than 3 ranks? I added on and continued what you did in the three sections in the config and it didn't work.
@Q2Lummox
You are now able to change the name of the ranks!, the config may be slightly hard to understand, if so, there is a short video under the Installation section on this page.
@Ploppet
Colors have been added, the config may be slightly hard to understand, if so, there is a short video under the Installation section on this page. :)
@Ploppet
Sure, will be added soon

This is actually an incredibly helpful plugin! Thanks! I have one request though... and that is: could you add a feature to change the colors of the list? That would be great! Keep up the great work!
Please, add a option to change the name of the "Owners" "Admins" and "Moderator".
I like put in my languaje. "DueƱos" "Administradores" "Moderadores".
Thanks!.
@trentynpowell
