What's A Pre-Release?

The Spyer2 Pre-Release is a bug-filled version meant for testing. If you can find any bugs not listed and/or want to see something changed/added just drop us a comment!

Where Do I Get It?

You can get the latest and greatest version here. You will also need to install SpoutPlugin but SpoutCraft is not required/used by this plugin

What Works?

Commands

These commands currently work in Pre-Release 2.0:

  • /spy <on/off> - Toggles invisibility BURNING items
  • /spy admin unlimited <on/off> - Toggles invisibility WITHOUT BURNING items
  • /spy <login/logoff> - Fakes a login/logout message
  • /spy status - Checks your current invisible/visible status
  • /spy admin <player> <login/logoff> Fakes a login/logout message for <Player> (DOES NOT HAVE TO BE ONLINE!)
  • /spy help - Shows Spyer2 help, only shows commands you have permissions for
  • /spy admin <player> <on/off> - Makes <player> invisible BURNING items
  • /spy info - Shows Spyer2 version information
  • /spy admin <player> unlimited <on/off> - Makes <player> invisible WITHOUT BURNING items
  • /spy reload - Reloads the Spyer2 config file

Permissions

And the following permission nodes work (SuperPerms):

  • spyer.* - Allows users to use ALL features of Spyer!
  • spyer.user - Allow user to toggle invisibility and check status
  • spyer.admin - Allows users to use admin features of Spyer
  • spyer.noitem -Allow user to toggle invisibility and check status WITHOUT burning items

Hiding from /list

A UNIVERSAL list command (including /list, /who, /online, /players, /playersonline) is implanted which will override ANYTHING that uses those commands :D (yup ANY listing plugin, Essentials, CommandBook, etc.) Unfortunately there is a bug with CommandBook (see Known Bugs below).

Configuration

Currently the there are only 2 options in the Spyer2 config.yml. These can be set per-world.

Item:

The item you burn while invisible (the default 266 is gold ingot)

RateInTicks:

How quickly you burn items while invisible, this number is IN TICKS NOT SECONDS! To get seconds divide the number of ticks by 20. The default time is 1000/20 which is 5 seconds.

MustHoldItem:

ADDED IN PRE-RELEASE 2.2: You can now force users to hold the required item by setting "MustHoldItem" to 1.

Notes

While you are spying your name is "hidden" from the TAB list. Without Spoutcraft the best I can do is make your name blank. You can see an example of what it looks like here.

While you are invisible you CANNOT pick up items! Chest animations are shown but I plan to fix this problem later. Any command listed in '/spyer help' but not shown above is not yet working.

You can help make this the bestest plugin ever by leaving comments about bugs/suggested features/etc. Or you could just say you like it :D

Know Bugs

  • Typing commands wrong may cause errors
  • Doing anything that involves a player who is not online causes an error
  • Chest animation is still shown
  • "WARNING! You only have X seconds left!" is displayed twice
  • The initial CommandBook message showing who is on is still displayed
  • When the server is reloaded you receive no warning
