Only builds coloured in green have been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use development builds at your own risk.
What does it do?
Ever got bored standing behind a wall of glass waiting for the next game to start? Or if you're a server owner, do you dread the question "Can I have creative so I can spectate?"
Yep, I've been there too. That's why I made this plugin! When you die and are out of the game, just do /spec on and you will be given flight and a window will open letting you teleport to other players still in the game. But here's the great bit! Players still in the game can't see you, and you can't interact with the world (cause damage, break or place blocks, etc). When you're finished just do /spec off to be teleported back to spawn. Simple!
Any requirements?
If you don't have a plugin with a /spawn command on your server, you need to set up a spectator lobby to make sure players are teleported back to spawn afterwards (see setup section).
Can I get development builds?

@jroda
There already is spectator only chat... The option to turn it on is in toggles.yml.
Can you make a way, by permission or by the configuration file that players in spec mode only can talk in the spec chat? Give me a timeline to the update if you can do it pls
@CrostoShinobi
Hi there, and thanks for the suggestions. I'll do my best to add all that. Custon messages were already a planned feature, and the other two are very useful and practical ideas, which I'd love to add! Thanks.
Suggestions:
@Justdoitjafri
Indeed. There will be a 1.9.2 soon, with some fixes to improve /spec reload.
1.9.1 Is out! Latest version! Go check it out!
@HGspindy
Ah, that makes more sense. No, unfortunately first person viewing is not possible at the moment. I may wait until 1.8 comes out, probably with an overhaul of the Bukkit API, making it easier for me to manage spectate mode.
O no sorry. I did explain bad.
I say spectate in first person camera. Inside of players. And so we can see what they see.
@HGspindy
Do you mean issuing the command as a player? Because, at the minute, it isn't possible to do /spec off *, or something like that.
do it work in first person?
thanks
@kokonut19
Hi, yes. You can do /spec off @a and that should disable spectate for all players.
Question! Can the command blocks be used to force all players out of spectator? I have an adventure/mini game map that is redstone ran. It's quite critical to it working.
Right now i cannot do it due to PC limitations, so i cannot test this on my server. But i need to know if it can, if not, it's very important that it does! I hope you enable such a thing. I love the plugin c:
I just need a way to stream line the mode so I don't get griefers. Players turning off the spectator mode themselves would harm things if they had ill intent.
@angelo649
Yes, I could. Added to the To-do list
Can you please add a feature that stops specators from riding horses ?
@TheOnlyRealTGS
No problem, thanks for the ideas!
Everyone, make sure to look at my "To-do list" here.
I'm glad you accepted my tickets! Keep up the good work!
@ZeaLBG
I'll try to add all that, can't say how soon though. Your last question: I think it should save their inventory ok, as the inventory changing takes place a half second or so after respawn.
Add this features:
Is it possible to teleport all the spectators when the game end (Test for players in the arena region).
Change the items (I want to have compass for teleporting to players in the arena and clock for leaving the arena)
Add a new item for leaving. Item is binded with /spec off command
Message edit in the config
And last: I use battlearena for my games. If I set to spectate and when they dead, will it back their items and teleport them back?
@SnowPatch
I could do that. There is a command warm-up plugin, I'm sure, out there, so you might want to get that until I get it added.
@rafaelcjenas
If you can't fix it, turn off colouredtablist in toggles.yml, it's probably due to using an NPC plugin.
