Welcome! Let's begin with just a little description of this really amazing plugin named SmoothPlot.
Well, SmoothPlot is plots-system that uses WorldGuard to manage regions for players. Generally it allows you to manage plots on your server without any commands. No more need for time-taking regions creation (selecting with wand, then typing bunch of commands...). With SmoothPlot all you need to do is build a plot (plot border and not even entire) and place there a sign. Plot like this you can copy and paste (or stack, or any other duplicating method) with WorldEdit for example - and it will work without any problems!
Player just clicks a sign and plot is automatically created for him! SmoothPlot can do any operation you can do with WorldGuard commands!
But SmoothPlot is more - your players can sell their plots and invite friends! Continue reading to know more about these features!

Installation
This process can not be any easier!
- Download latest SmoothPlot plugin (take a look on box on the right hand and find "Recent files")
- Put SmoothPlot.jar file to your server's "plugins" directory
- Install dependencies (WorldEdit, WorldGuard, Vault and any economy plugin supported by Vault)
- Start your server
- When your server will be loaded go again to "plugins" directory and look for "SmoothPlot" folder, then get in there
- Open config.yml with any text editor (gedit, notepad-plus-plus, sublime text etc.)
- Set everything as you wish (remember to use spaces, never use tabs), define plot types (check provided example inside that config)
- Save changes and reload server
- It is done! Everything should work now!
How to use
Providing plots
This process is really easy. Let's do it!
- Define plots in SmoothPlot's configuration file (usually found in <server path>/plugins/SmoothPlot)
- Be sure to set correct worlds names in allowed-worlds list
- Log-in to your server
- Build a rectangle on the ground (use any material(s) you like) (actually you need only 4 blocks on X and Z axis, see screenshots)
- Place a sign on the ground and type:
Notice that you can use many materials, just count them separated with , (semicolon).
If you do not need parent region then leave the 4th line empty.
- Done! If you want you can copy this plot with WorldEdit or anything else you want.

Friends invitations
This option allows players to invite friends to their plots, so they can build there. This DOES NOT make them owners, they become members and it is not count in plotting system (they can join to as many plots as they want). To invite player simply place sign like this:
Sign must be placed anywhere inside target region.
Reselling plots
This way players can sell their plots to others. It does not affect any blocks in region, so it's nice way to sell amazing houses etc..
SmoothPlot manages WorldGuard regions only and DOES NOT remove LWC locks, so please tell players to do so before they sell something.
The only thing you need to specify is plot price. Example sign:

- Automatic region flags (per-type, to be set in config)

- Border materials dictionary (assign ID to material name, so you can put more materials on a sign)
- More admin commands (eg. plot removing) - however most stuff might be done via WorldGuard commands

By the way, I am going to rewrite SmoothPlot too, it is my the first public plugin and many things might be done better. However its rewrite date is unknown.

People cant build in their plot half the time
Again, WorldGuard - not my plugin. My plugin only creates/changes regions. Everything else is driven by WorldGuard so ask its support.

I was inactive for some longer time. Anyway I am back and I am going to code some new original plugins, update existing and finish GothiCraft :) So, thanks for asking, but I will handle it.
Need the ability to put plot type in welcome message! Would be VERY helpful, as I'm not sure my players will be able to remember the plot-type and I have plot reselling enabled.

I dropped writing Bukkit plugins. However I am back (because it's really nice thing!), so I will update SmoothPlot soon, first of all I have a lot to do with GothicCraft that I want release!
How do i make it so that you cant walk into someones plot and use their enchantment tables
I'm sorry but it's not Smoothplot error. It depends on WorldGuard and you should ask WorldGuard support about this.

I need HELP. I gave the group who could use plots essentials.build, but now they can destroy in anyones plot. please help and if it explains what to do im sorry i cant find it i've triple checked for it already. PLZ HELP.
Dying for a programer to do this type of plot placement.
1. How about place a cost by size limit configurable. Also a tax rate configurable. 2. Also I love the Influence area between plots. Anyway to make this configurable like 3 or 7 blocks between plots sizes. This way its managble. And a amount of plots that are allowed per player limit. Or by Cost. Maybe
3. Anyway to make this a configurable item. And by this I mean in the config maybe an item ID line. This way players could purchase this item lets say from a vendor and they run out to wherever they want to lay down plot and they use the item and it tells them if its allowed or not and if its allowed then it places plot and removes item.
Or maybe a config that allows for presetup plot sizes like 32x33 or other sizes and configurable up and down limits.Also having a cost placement in config. This way the Admin could setup a shop and players could look at a purchasable list of houses and sizes that are preset and purchase the one they want and get item and go out and place it and it removes cost and item on placement of plot.
See if its an item it could be stolen by theiving or on death or this could be configurable also by admin to either allow for this or not.
Schematic Another idea would be to add in config to the above a way to add a schematic of an already built type of house or building that its in the config when its purchased for that style of home of building. SO when they place the plot it removes item and places the home/building schematic and removes cost. This way the Admin could set up a schematic size add it to a configurable plot size he knows it would fit on allowing for influence zone and let them purchase this template size and type of home/building per plot size.
I know its alot but I still to this day have not found a plot placement system that allows for any of these ideas in one package. All of them seem to want to give them any size they want instead of a base size preconfigurable by Admin but allow for them to place it where ever they want to instead of being plots that are already setup in world to purchase..? I like this adea also but then I also would like to restrict some areas or players to other type of house placement.

Hi. i downloaded the plugin, made squares, placed the sign, got a successful message, and get info on price when i click the sign. But i cant right click to buy, just says "You ready your fists"
Does this plugin work for 1.5.2 or not??
Some other great additions you could consider are: - Addition of automated flags on plots (I'd love to allow TnT/Pistons in the plots only (while having a -1 priority overall region that denies tnt/pistons) to give players more access and customisation.
Some new features I thought would be nice to add were: - A teleport to your plot (A large plot world would become a mess/maze to get to your plot). - A teleport to a free plot (So new players can find and claim a plot easily enough).
Would like to say I love this plugin though :)
Edit: Another cool feature would be: - The option to only allow a permission group being invited to a particular plot (i.e. my server has donator plots but they can invite any player to the plot with them).
