This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.
@Relicum and @Wizardgreatar
I have a fully working version, I was going to release it as a forked project that was eventually going to completely rewrite everything, I started back in oct 2013 working on my fork and have privately updating things myself. I wanted to help out the other server owners and give back to the community, but they put the bucket over my head and knocked me down. This has happened every time I try to release anything private I have improved or fixed.
Bukkit staff wont let me or anyone officially fork the project or any other plugin. "Otherwise we would see many copies of essentials and other popular plugins" -__-
They don't allow forks of inactive projects. You HAVE to get permission from the original authors or be added as a dev by them. Basically they are limiting the creativity of the community and blocking development of any plugin that needs upgrading for 1.8 that the original coder isn't supporting anymore.
This bureaucratic control and rule set takes away from the fun of coding. I was very enthusiastic about continuing this plugin, Now I feel like running my laptop over with my lawnmower.
Eventually this will lead to the decline of the quality of plugins and the number of people wanting to code them. The community looses in the end and server owners are hurt more.
@Relicum
Interesting. The actual law really has little to do with the situation, as this site is Bukkit's property and they can do whatever they like with it, including the creation of any rule or condition they please.
One would hope Bukkit would have some sort of "expiration policy" in place for plugin authors who virtually disappear, leaving several servers stranded behind.
I've seen plugin authors go inactive for years, and if potential developers have to wait for the author's permission to fork their plugin, they might as well begin designing an entirely fresh project, or none at all.
I'm interested to see the new and improved Skywars, if it becomes a reality. Keep up the good work!

That is utter bullshit if Bukkit staff are saying that.
Reasons: This plugin is licensed under GPL, which grants you unrestricted access to use modify copy, sell. In this case update requires by "Law" no permission at all from the author, who in fact forked it from another author.
But this does not mean you can take over this actual plugin instance without the author handing it over to you, or Bukkit decide it is dead and change the author themselves.
But there is not any legal reason starting a new plugin page and fork the repo.
I have partly updated this already (Not public at the moment, nor will I break bukkit's rules and link to it. I might not like the rules but that's life), but personally I stopped as 1.8 will drop and god knows what will happen.
I also PM'd the author and got no response.
@HaxtorMoogle PM me we might be able to do it jointly, depends on your experience and time.
wietje just please get it over with , update this or give Haxtor your permission.

Help Plugin not reported Plugin Does not Work?
Sent andypaw a email about it, hope they will give Haxtor the permissions to continue this project.
cmon wietje, update your project or give haxtor permisions............
Plans have changed. i wont be allowed to release anything until I get permission from the original dev to continue working on his code, or I have the complete code rewrite done.
Anyone who attempts to update this plugin is apparently breaking dev.bukkit's rules and the software license.
@MasterKohaku
Same plugin with several fixes and improvements
@HaxtorMoogle
is the same plugin?
I am going to have a build available soon
http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/wickedskywars/
This will be from bukkit so it will be safe to use
@johandre
How can I build this source code to have the file SkyWars.jar?
@HaxtorMoogle
I have no clue, but I believe when you enable the island building the new " interval " is the new timer of the island, basically, however long the interval takes w/ building is the new timer, which shouldn't be like that, there should be a set timer rather than a block interval, because there can be extremely small maps which take less than a second to build, so basically if the min. players is set at 2, and 2 join immediately, they glitched through the map before it's even built.
If you'd like I can get video documentation on how it is happening.
Taking over this plugin rewriting everything to be more logical with more features.

@Theepwner
Ask Relicum for a copy
We really need an updated version of this plugin that fixes all of the current bugs, including a UUID conversion.
@X_angelz_X
I've been looking at that for a while now. It is the issue with maps missing random lines of blocks along the z axis right?
Was wondering, is it possible to have the plugin run a set of commands at the end of each game?
Hi guys i know this project is inactive, but.... how do i open up the kits gui out of a game? thanks in advance
