I have trying to figured out this for a while now xD
Thanks @asofold!
@asofold
It works perfect! :D
idk, there was some bug the first time I tested it.
Works perfect!! Good job!
@mds818
I will upload a version compiled with 1.6.2 - can you be more specific about what works and what not?
If you don't vanish i am not sure what else would be supposed to work (god mode !?)...
Edit: oops :)
Didn't work for 1.6.2 :/
Couldn't get vanished everything else worked :)
EDIT: It works for 1.6.2!!!
@imjoebaker
Currently you can not chat from the start if vanished. You must use a command to allow chatting, setting a flag. The flag is saved to disk, so it only needs to be done once for the usual case. There is permissions for setting and display of flags.
Set: simplyvanish.flags.set.self.see
For display usually it is ok to allow showing all flags: simplyvanish.flags.display.self
@TheFluffey
Could you please explain how you managed to get vanished players to speak with a node, not a command?
@PluginMaker33
What did you try ?
@asofold
I can still see vanished players -_-
@PluginMaker33
The permission should be simplyvanish.see-all , you can also use /vanflag -see to just turn seeing off instead with a command.
I have this problem: I have all premissions (*), but I don't wanna see vanished players. So I removed the premission node simlyvanish.seer from myself, but I can still see vanished players. What can I do?
@TheFluffey
Essentials ? I have no idea, does the issue persist? What CraftBukkit version is it ?
For 1.4.5 you might try 1.2.0 then (linked above).
@asofold
No.
@TheFluffey
do you have other plugins that mess with visibility or networking stuff ?
@asofold
Some players are reporting other players appearing invisible when they aren't vanished. I can't find out what is causing this bug, but it started when I added this plugin. Some players can see another player like he is vanished. Others cannot.
Basically: Player 1 is not vanished. However, Played2 cannot see player1 anyways. Player1 can be seen by some players, but not all.
@TheFluffey
I see.
Flags have been made to override the permission to chat and other, because being able to chat means also the risk of accidental chat when mistyping a command, just to give one example. For that purpose permissions were not sufficient, so i added these flags.
Indeed, the capability to enforce sets of default flag states for either all players or based on permissions and/or config is another thing on the lists.
@asofold
See, but there is the issue. I don't want players to be able to set their chat option, but rather I want them to have a node which enables them to chat. Users should automatically be able to chat when vanished with a node instead of having to set that.
Edit: Got it working anyways. Thanks!
@TheFluffey
It is slightly different: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/simplyvanish/pages/commands-and-permissions/#w-permissions-for-flags
You can set permissions for display and changing of flags individually, in any case before the flag name you have self or other.
Example: simplyvanish.flags.set.self.chat
For flag display it might be no harm to let them display all: simplyvanish.flags.display.self
@asofold
Are there permission nodes for flags? IT would be much easier for my case... Like simplyvanish.flags.chat
@Invisicow
Yes, certainly.
I am still running the old version, though. It is using nothing that changed since, if i see it right.
But i will have to also check all plugin hooks with new versions, so i guess i will soon upload a version for 1.4.5 officially , though it might not contain any new features.
Will this ever be updated to 1.4.5? Just curious! (:
