SimpleHat
SimpleHat allows you to put the current item in your hand into your helmet slot. By using Bukkit's built-in permissions system, you can define who can put what, and whatnot, on their head, per player, per group, per world. Which means a lot of control over who can use SimpleHat. Want to only allow wool on Guest's heads? No problem.
This plugin is an alternative to BlockHat and BlockHead. I was unhappy that BlockHead was inactive and BlockHat was adding unwanted features and bloat to the plugin. SimpleHat is extremely lightweight and has a very low memory footprint. SimpleHat uses Bukkit's built-in permission system to control who can use SimpleHat.
The command for SimpleHat is /hat. Upon running the command in-game, SimpleHat will automagically take the item and swap it with the item in your helmet slot, so nothing gets lost. SimpleHat has a in-genius permissions node to restrict access. If you want a group to be able to use all blocks and items as hats, use the permissions node "simplehat.*". If you would like to restrict access and only allow wool, use the permissions node "simplehat.35". You must use the item id, not the item's name.
Current Features
- Swap the current item in your hand with the item in your helmet slot.
- Extremely lightweight and memory efficient.

Changelog
- Version 1.1: *Latest Version*
- Fixed the null pointer exception.
- Version 1.0:

- Version 0.9:
- Fixed permissions not working properly. Compiled with latest Bukkit.
- Version 0.8:
- Fixes the "eat stacks of same item type" caveat. Yes, it's finally here Kane_Hart. Lots of love to Celeixen.
- Version 0.7:
- Now exclusively uses Bukkit's built-in permissions system.
can you update this to support 1.16.4?
Plz update
Maybe you should add a command that uses the ID of the block (/hat [id]), inclusive the datavalue, like you can put stained glass on your head too! When you use it multiple times, it replaces your current hat.

If you put leaves on your head then hold a tool the tool apears green in your hand. boss.
@snoepje0 Nice update!
Im using your version, I was wondering if there's a way to remove the previous "Armor/item" hats? cos some of my players still have them on their head. Maybe when they open their inventory their armor hats will go to their inventory or will dropped on the ground when their inventory is full? I hope you add this update. Thanks
@np98765
i want my players to wear pants on their head :|
@ELwain66

What Are The Permissions
@snoepje0
Is there some way for us to put pants on our head and have it show?
@np98765
I recoded it so it became impossible to use armor as a hat. Source code is included like in the original mod.
EDIT: it is hardcoded out, it is not optional. if you dont want it, stick to the original mod. EDIT 2 : tested it and it works, almost... new fixed version coming up, right here
@lolitsthad
Yes, I asked a while ago whether the developer would code out the ability to place any type of armor as a hat:
@np98765
But I never got a response.
Negative permission nodes don't work. Heads up to anyone who uses this, you cannot give simplehat.* or people will put chestplates on their head to cheat in PVP. You need to manually go through the entire list of blocks and add every single block aside from chestplates and leggings. Hopefully developer reads these comments and fixes this soon.
My players really like this plugin. Thanks!!
Works perfectly for me with the latest RB of CB++ for MC 1.2.5!
@houba1970
why? is it not working?
i'm running latest bukkit dev build + bukkitpermissions 1.6 and simplehat is working 100%
