Simple Player List
Main | Installation | Configuration
Description
Simple Player List is the successor to OnlinePlayers. It is a plugin which collects the currently active members on your server and sends the information to a webpage that can be viewed by the public.
It displays whether or not the server is online, the users who are currently online (if any) and the number of users online out of the total that can be online.
There are two configuration files. One for the Bukkit plugin, so that it can connect to the PHP script. The other is to configure the functionality of the actual list display.
Permissions support (which is entirely optional), to enable the creation of custom ranks. You can create as many ranks as you want, and call them whatever you like. The purpose is to add a little tag, or prefix before the user's name in the player list.
Features
- Automatically updating active player list, viewable as a webpage.
- Permissions support for custom ranks. (Optional)
- Easy to configure with simple and explained config files.
- Status of the server is displayed as offline or online.
- Run on ANY Server. The server can send the list to any website or computer that has the correct php files. This means if the physical Minecraft server is off, the scripts can still run and display that the server is offline.
- Compact display. No confusing extra crap around the page to distract from the real purpose of the list.
- The ability to display a users skin face next to their name.
- The format of the list can be altered and parts removed to get exactly what you want.
- Give your users ranks with the config.yml file and simple permission nodes.
- Simple Prefix (link) integration. If you are running Simple Prefix, users prefixes will be used as ranks.

@Flabaliki
Thanks! Any clue how I put it as an iFrame?
@Alanox
Open data.txt and delete the two lines you don't want / need.
One problem. I own one server but on my website it appears 3 servers. I don't know why :(

This plugin deserves WAY more downloads! I love it!
@Flabaliki Heya, How can I make it so after each server there's a line space, so each server player list is on it's own line. I use face grid.
I've been fiddling with the receiver.php, but can't work out how to do it.
Thanks for the support, -Daniel

Keep updating this great plugin!
It should delete the contents of "data.txt" file, make a reload of your site and it works!
keep this plugin alive!!! it still works great, just the way it says it does....
Mine continually spews out this:
Goes away when I remove this plugin, but it's a pretty big part of my website :(
same thing. after server restart data.txt stops refreshing. please fix.
Same issue as a number of posters below.
When first accessing the playerlist, have a single list. Shortly later, guess after refresh, get a duplicated list.
Also when going into the editor via the browser, don't get the server details for editing.
@SnowPatch
change the permissions of the data.txt file to 777 or 755
Hi I have the Same Problem like SnowPatch! - SimplePlayerList displays the face and name for each user twice... Please Help!!! :)
How do i get the heads and stuff to be placed in the top left corner of the website?? No matter what i do, there is a 18px padding to the site at to the top... Please help! :(
I'm also experiencing some problems with this plugin.
The same issues mentioned below that config gets corrupted, and duplicate lists.
But I've also noticed that if SPL can't talk with the web-server, it has at 2 occasions crashed my MC server.
Would it be possible to not have the it do all the stuff on the main thread? And gracefully handle no response from the webserver?
I have the following 2 errors (im using craftbukkit 1.5):
- SimplePlayerList displays the face and name for each user twice...
- SimplePlayerList do not refresh itself...
Can anyone help?? :)
I get this message when trying to incorporate the list into my forums : "Error: Passcodes do not match" - this is output to the minecraft server console
Why does my config file (on the website side of things0 keep getting corrupted? Then the player list becomes a mess of text.
@diegobh
I can verify that v.1.5.0 of this plugin does work with CB 1.4.7 R-1.0.
Though the player-list duplication still occurs but that can be fixed by deleting the duplicate server info from data.txt on your web-server.
