Profiler
Profiler v1.2
What's new as of the latest update?
- Added the /p stats command which allows for fast lookups on players, quickly listing their total offenses. It basically acts as a profile summary :D
- Added a paging system to profiles, to see profiles now type /p show <player> <page>, each page contains five entries
- Made player's profiles color coded (pretty!)
- Minor bug fixes
Where can i get this update!
- Until it's approved, click the files tab, and download the 1.2 version, however if it's already approved, you can simply just use the normal download button!
Keeps detailed profiles of all players
Description:
Profiler works to keep your server free of greifers, and those who are attempting to harm your server. It logs kicks, jails, and all the IP's a player has joined on, so you can easily identify unwanted players, and keep them off your server for good. Profiler has a simple, familiar interface so you already have all the knowledge you need to keep your server free of hackers, greifers, and any other kind of generally bad types of players.
Updated for version 1.3.2!
How to set up:
- Simply download the jar file, and drag it into your plugins folder!
Usage:
Permissions:
- profiler.show :: allows the player to see other players profiles
- profiler.help :: allows the player to see the profiler help page
- profiler.canjail :: tells the plugin that this player has the ability to jail other players
- profiler.note :: allows the player to add notes to other players profiles
Commands:
either /p or /profiler can be used in any of these commands however /profiler will be used in the examples
- /p help :: shows the help menu
- /p <a / addnote> <player> <note> :: adds a note to a given players profile
- /p <s / show> <player> :: shows the profile of a given player
do you have a git available? i want to see the code
@slam5000
Can you update the plugin, and add support for muting/kicking/banning as well?
Hi all! Sorry for going away for a while! I'm back, and I will continue to support, and update this plugin! I may not add many new features, as I'm pretty busy, but at the very least, i'll check in here every once in a while, and make sure the plugin works with all the latest builds! (And yes, it currently does still work! I'm surprised nothing broke it while i was gone!) I hope some people still find this useful! -Slam
We don't seem to be able to download the 1.2 version... If it was denied, could you please re-upload it (fixing the part that they denied obviously), the patch notes look really useful :)
Does this plugin still works with the latest dev? Searching for a plugin like this..
Hmm, I suppose that multi-server usage may benefit from a MySQL database. I guess it could be worth considering, you'd have to give me time to learn MySQL in java though, I know it in Objective-C, but I have never tried it out in Java. I'll definitely reconsider though depending on how difficult it looks to implement.
I'd also like to add to that request for MySQL, having a single profile database across both our servers would be very handy.
This plugin seems like a good idea, but I am a hater of flat file systems with lots of text files.
Are there any plans to introduce MySQL as a forced option?
Im unsure by reading, but does this also record WHO banned who? I really need this, because on the server im administrator on, I have access to the console via beastnode, so I can upload plugins, and we get hacked frequently, and abusive admins/mods ban people. I really need to know who banned who alongside with when, and what/why. If this is already in im sorry I have bad eyesight and I hate reading long things all the time (I read too many web pages). If not, could you add the features of seeing who banned who, for what, and why?
Small request: I would like to see the ability to hide a person's current position from the /status command. Or perhaps a permission node for being able to see it.
Also it would be cool if it mentioned the green/red number is peoples' reputations. Right now it just has it on the first line at the very right. Perhaps keep it that way, but put "Rep: #".
Thank you for this great plugin, I have a factions server with many players coming and going and I care not for remembering who is good / bad. It helps me and other users decide whether they want players in their factions or not depending on their reputation. It's a very great tool. Keep up the great work. :)
@NuttyX33
No but that's already been requested so i very well may implement that
@xXGroovyCatXx
duh i already said that. but you seem to have a gift for pointing out the obvious.
as i said, this profiler is more lightweight, and only has features useful for catching hackers.
that means it has LESS features than the other one, and that's its main feature! :P
@GarretSidzaka
That's exactly what the other does.
@xXGroovyCatXx
wrong. that other profiler is alot of crap that is not needed by us. this profiler is for catching vpn hackers, mainly, as well as giving easy access to player ips, past and present.
also it logs jails nicely to create a wrap sheet.
heres the deal, that other profiler was for promoting good players as well as catching bad. our profiler is not for good players. in fact it hardly has any data on good players as they dont switch ips or get kick and stuff.
There is no download only "Ticket"
does this plugin show the total gametime (online in minecraft)?
would be great if it does, im looking for one that shows the total playtime of the player for 1.2.4
