Points is a teleportation plugin that unifies warping on your server. Points combines homes, warps, and the ability to warp to the spawn point in a plugin that is easy to install and use. Warps have social features; if you so choose, you can visit other people's warps, and they can visit yours too!

Dependencies
Points makes use of FlatDB, a simple database system to store information for warps and home points. The database must be placed in the lib/ directory of your main server directory. Points will automatically download FlatDB for you when it first starts.
Points supports Superperms for permissions. It has been tested with PermissionsBukkit.
For Developers
I'm trying to set up a page to showcase well done and stable plugins that use the Points API in some way. If you are a developer and have made such a plugin and you'd like for me to showcase it, please have a look at this page.
@s0lder
I'll get to it :)
@Digitalink2008
On version 1.2.3-R0.1, Points 1.6.1 starts up fine for me. If you could open an issue with the error, I'd appreciate it. Thanks
Hey ya S0lder,
I'm sure you're aware that Points fails to load in CB beta release for 1.2.3. Would logging the errors from my console into a ticket help ya out?
Just trying to pitch in :)

@s0lder
@s0lder - I really appreciate you taking time to reply to such a vague question. i have enabled points several times, tested it myself without incident (usually, at least) and then walked away ... only to find that the server starts behaving erratically shortly thereafter. But, as I said, and to be clear to others reading this thread, this has happened with multiple warping plugins. I do not think it is specifc to Points, which I think looks like a good and commendable plugin. :)
More likely, it's something specific about our server, or about our players (as you suggest).
Thanks again for taking time to reply. I hope that people reading your thread will see clearly understand that I don't think your plugin is the cause!

Hi. Thanks for your interest in Points!
I'm well aware of the problem of the fact that Points is a bit lacking in terms of configuration and detailed permissions. Luckily, now that I have 1.6 and the API out and working, that's where I plan to shift my focus for the next release.
As for the using /warp [name] rather than /warp go [name], that creates a few problems. For example, what happens if a user makes a warp called list? Sure, I can very well limit that, but I'm not sure that's where I want to go with this. For now, it makes things a lot simpler if I just use the current /warp go [name] notation. It's great that I've been able to add all of these features, and I'm really happy with what Points has become, but with the number of features that I've added, it's clear that the interface is becoming a bit cluttered. That's another thing I want to focus on. I wouldn't expect many new "features" from the next few releases, but I'm really looking into ways to A) Make Points more configurable, and B) Make it easier to use.
Thanks for your comment. It's nice to finally have a place to put all of this down for others to see where I want to go with this.
Hello there. Nice plugin :)
I used to use MyWarp and JustWarp. I saw your plugin and it looked very promising, but i really miss the ability to customise user permission-nodes. I want them to be able to list and use warps, but i don't want them to create new warps and do other things.
Unfortunately, every command i see shares the same points.warp node :( Also: is it possible to use /warp <value> instead of /warp go <value>?
Thank you in advance! ;)
@webname
As of now, no. However, my next step (seeing as I finally got 1.6 out), is hopefully to work on configuration options, among which that could be.
Is there any way to limit by world, ie only teleport in current worlds. dont see any perms for it
@shieldsheafson
I frankly have no idea. I don't see this on any of my servers. Unless you have users that are warping around a ridiculous amount that the server can't keep up with, this isn't something I know about or can do anything about.
@webname
Not in Points. However, there are several per-world permissions plugins that could limit creation of warps per-world.
I apologize for such a general question, but when I enable points (or openwarp, or other warping mods) the rate of server crashes goes up quite a bit. Is there some general configuration I need to make warping mods stable? I'm running on CentOS (at ProvisionHost) with current versions of Bukkit, McMyAdmin, and these plugins (sadly, Points is not on the list):
MinecraftViewer, NoCheat, Uptime, CommandHelper, PermissionsBukkit, BukkitCompat, MCStats3, Minequery, LogBlock, HawkEye, WorldEdit
Again, sorry for such a vague question - I just want to make sure there's not something obvious I'm missing. I can't see any patterns in anything in particular happening before each crash, or I'd certainly post more detail.
can this be limited by world, ie only warp about the current world and such ?
@Digitalink2008
Sure, I can certainly do that. I'm trying to get 1.5.4 out right now with some cool new stuff, including the separation of signs in accordance to the new Points API. But, I'll be sure to add that option when I can.
Hey S0lder,
On my server I'd like to allow folks to use the sign to warp to locations but not allow them to create new warps or signs and such. Is that a feature / permissions node you would be interested in?
Thanks, D.
@XanaRaquel
It's 100% possible, but it's a bit impractical. On my Minecraft server (about 30 regular users), I had about 25 warps, three to five of which were public. That ratio was about the same for everyone else. With those numbers, it makes sense for the most popular option to remain default.
I haven't installed yet (a bit busy at the moment) but is it possible to make the newly created warp automatically public? Or in other words, all warp points created by any user are public, no private ones? (Maybe just the home one can be private)
@dougdashwitz
It isn't now, but that's a pretty good idea! I'll be sure to add that in the next release. Maybe with a global /warp global [name] command? Or would just using /warp go [name] be better?
@s0lder
and thanks for the help with the flatdb mistake, i rebuilt the server on a ramdisk and forgot to move over the flatdb files
Is there a way to specify 'world' points... for example, if i placed a warp at the origin, and named it 'origin' and then made it public, other players would have to type /warp go dougdashwitz origin ... however, like as with the old myWarp, i had 'public' warps that did not require the username...
is this possible with points?
@isfand
Points doesn't support changing the spawn. There are two options as far as that goes:
