BlackList
General Information
This Plugin lets you prevent Players from having certain items and blocks. Whenever Players:
- Drop Items
- Pick Items up
- Open Chests or their inventory
- Close Chests or their inventory
- Move items inside their inventory or chests
- Place blocks
They will get checked for "illegal" items and found items will be removed from their inventories.
Setup
Installation
To install the plugin, just drop the .JAR file into your plugins folder. Afterwards, reload your server.
Configuration
When you first run the plugin, it will create the file "plugins/BlackList/config.yml". If you want to configure the plugin over the file, you should stop your server now and enter the blacklisted item IDs or Names (in the current version, you have to enter item names in FULL CAPS in order for them to be recognized). Commands
/blacklist list | Displays a list of all forbidden items. |
/blacklist addglobal <id/name>#<modifier> | Adds an item to the global blacklist. |
/blacklist rmglobal <id/name>#<modifier> | Removes an item from the global blacklist. |
/blacklist addlocal <id/name>#<modifier> | Adds an item to the local blacklist. |
/blacklist rmlocal <id/name>#<modifier> | Removes an item from the local blacklist. |
Permissions
blacklist.bypass | Allows the player to have and use blacklisted items. |
blacklist.addglobal | Allows adding items to the global blacklist. |
blacklist.addlocal | Allows adding items to the local blacklist. |
blacklist.rmglobal | Allows removing items from the global blacklist. |
blacklist.rmlocal | Allows adding items from the local blacklist. |
For your interest
- The configuration file is hard to read once it has been stored by the plugin, so I recommend using the commands to configure.
Hi lol I'm just wonderning of what this command does, I mean does this thing like IP Ban you? Cuz on some servers there's a command that has a plugin called "Blacklist". This thingy is basically an IP Ban, but that means, you're basically ip banned on everywhere. And you can't appeal for an unban.
Anyways, I was wonderning if that was the plugin I was looking for..?
idk if im stupid or not, lol.
Thanks!
Well. Same thing again haha.. did not think anyone used this anymore.
This plugin allows you to blacklist certain items on your server. Cannot guarantee that it works still, though. As you can see it's been a while since I updated it.
What i put after the # ? please in version 2.0 ?
hi i cant figure out how to add something to the black this it keeps saying the command but i don't know how to write it can some one show me an example f what there putting in to add something to the blacklist
Dirt and stone are blacklisted by default, the permissions don't work and when I do unblacklist dirt and stone they automatically go back on, I deleted them from the plugin files and when I started my server up they where still there. It's really annoying.
@PeterKramer
Im using this for more than a year :D
awesome plugin: simple and effective
Did not expect people to still be using this plugin, it appears it is actually being used, so I'll probably be updating it soon and taking care of some of the existing issues
ok ;)
@zeuslightning125
Same Problem as xWoody25. (Im using v1.1.)
Anyone got this working with FTB/Tekkit 1.4.7?
An ability to allow for specific banned items bypass would be great. I want to sell access to certain banned items, at a price so that people who wanted to buy it to abuse it wouldnt bother, only more dedicated players.
Does anyone know how I could use this to block a sword with a certain name or lore, if possible? If not could this feature be added.
Purpose would be to block Players from using foul language as a item name and to stop staff only items from getting into Players hands.
BlackList v2.0 works Bukkit 1.5.2 But does not work on MCPC+ 1.5.2 ??? Tried a few of the latest 1.5.2 builds. October / 4 /2013
It loads, and items can be added to the list ect.. but apparently its just not taking effect. and not giving messages.
@claypark
@xWoody25
To both of you. Under facts on the right side, at the very bottom there is a recent files thing. Select the second one down, as it says Blacklist v1.1 for 1.4.7
Always use the right version. Im not sure this will solve your issues, but best to try.
Is there a way to bypass for only certain items
For some reason the blacklist bypass does not seem to be working on 1.4.7 any ideas on how to fix it
@PeterKramer: Hey I'm running a FTB Server and when trying to blacklist an item like this
/blacklist add 2998#6
It returns 'Material not found 2998#6'
so I tried.
/blacklist add DYNAMITE
and returned the same message but replaced the Item ID with DYNAMITE.
any solutions are this? I need the 1.4.7 Jar for FTB as well, so maybe you could do a hotfix?
Thanks in advance - Woody
Will be writing a new version soon with easier-to-use commands and possibly worldguard support.
for some reason whenever I try to blacklist anything I tells me /blacklist addglobal <id/name>#<modifier>
@mustangmaster There isn't one.
@wb1314
The 3#0 means that the item with the ID 3 and the metadata 0 is blacklisted; aka you could blacklist something like wool, but only a certain color, not wool in general. Most people don't need this unless they run an MCPC or bukkitforge server and have mods running that use many items in one ID, like IC2. They have most of their machines under 1 id but many metadatas.
I'm Not Sure How To Specify What Worlds Have What Blacklists...
In The Default Config, It Says:
world_specific:
world:
- 3#0
What Does The '3#0' Mean?
