Pavement
Pavement is a plugin for Spout. Smelt Gravel in a furnace to get Pavement, a new blocktype. Players walking/running on top of pavement will move twice as fast as normal and jump slightly higher. You can also craft Pavement Slabs with 3 Pavement blocks!
The Spout server plugin and the SpoutCraft client launcher are required to utilize this mod. Vanilla Minecraft clients will only see stone and not be sped up by the pavement.
You can also edit the config file to change the texture used. It's highly recommended that even if you're using the default texture that you mirror it on your own webspace.
If you're making your own texture, it needs to be exactly 32 wide by 16 tall (or an exact multiple of those dimensions), with the right half simply being a vertically stretched version of the top-left quarter, for use as the side of the Slab. For reference, use the default texture linked above.
Future plans include Permissions support (what users can utilize the speed change), configurable speed multipliers, and paintable road lines using dye (double yellow line!).

Hello, i would like to say great idea and plugin! But i would like to ask, does the 1.4.6 build you have work for a 1.4.7 server? (Craftbukkit 1.4.7 & Spout 1.4.7)
@eagle44
you forgot to get spout.....
i dont use spout. could you make it so if no spout is detected it gives em speed potion instead?
Do you by chance know the Item id for the pavement block? I know this is a dumb question. Though would be nice to use the pavement to build city streets.
Hey there, I was hoping you could help me out with something. I just installed Spout today so I am incredibly inexperienced and any assistance would be appreciated. Also we recently outlined a mass highway/transportation system on my server and your plugin looks awesome for this, so here goes:
Im having a similar problem as Jrallan. Smelting gravel gives me a block that looks just like flint that is called pavement and is invisible in my hand. When i place it it becomes invisible and makes the block below it invisible. When i try to destroy it, Spoutcraft crashes.
I updated to newest cb recommended build (r-3.0) and then the dev build (r-3.1) to try to fix. I am using the newest Spout Plugin (development #1197 for cb r-3.1) and the most up to date SpoutCraft i can find (#1412 i believe). I deleted .spoutcraft/spoutcraft/cache/Pavement as you advised Jrallan and restarted everything, same issue.
Please let me know if i need to clarify/give additional info, any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
Can you add more pavement with colors? ;)
I just made a parking lot and road out of pavement. Later it turns to stone! And it doesn't even have the effects of pavement! There's no point in getting this :( And yes, I have Spoutplugin, and the SpoutCraft Client.
@Vrasta3333 It's a problem with all custom blocks on Spout. There's nothing I can do about it, I'm afraid. You'll have to wait for an update.
@Jrallan Make absolutely sure you're on the latest CraftBukkit, SpoutPlugin, and SpoutCraft Recommended Builds, then delete the .spoutcraft/spoutcraft/cache/Pavement folder if it exists, then restart the server AND client and try again.
Hi I installed the mod, loaded Spout plugin and used SpoutCraft but the pavement block is invisible and when I destroy it it crash's. Please help.
Eih, awesome plugin, but there is a bug, if u place the road block into water it is not consistent and undeletable
Can you fix it? Thanks
Just posting to say hi, love this plugin and missing it from my current lineup.
Also a quick warning to others looking to try it. If you do get tempted to use it on CB2034 or newer, it can break your player data :/
Is there an update on the way, this is one of the primary things keeping me on R4
@macman2 This should be fixed in the new development build, give it a try.
@trollmonkey Try deleting .spoutcraft/spoutcraft/cache and connect again. If that doesn't work, try the dev build.
Just updated to the stable 1.1 Spout & Bukkit builds, and the texture for pavement has reverted to texture.png. I really hope to see this plugin continue to be maintained, as my users love it!
Same issue as Macman2 here. Otherwise, great plugin; thanks!
I have a bug, When I placed a load of it I wanted to remove it, but every block I place in its place turns to pavement, even water and signs. Can you offer a fix?
Thanks
@Quezax
It'll be in the next release.
Just updated to Spoutcraft build 1000. The first time I went to sleep in game I woke up to find the texture for pavement turned into the default terrain.png.
Anyone else experiencing this?
edit: Probably just an issue with my old server box. Built a new box for Christmas, no issues since (except for pavement sometimes showing as stone after sleeping)
Anyway you could allow access to change the texture? maybe a small yml to point to a website? Love the effect but want to customize the texture to match the rest of my server's theme.
Thanks, Great Work!
