How to add groups in permissions?
@austinhelm What other plugins do you have? Is the user online? What happens when you give the person a permission? Is the person an OP?
Hello feildmaster. You will have to forgive me, for I am not very good with permissions. I am using latest build of your plugin, and pail, and bukkitpermissions, but when I edit and give a player a permission node in the gui, it doesn't seem to effect anything.
@bearbear12345
It will work with visual permissions.
oops dont think the link worked
Here
on the Original Pail Link it says its compatible with that visual permissions. does this plugin get in the way?
@feildmaster
OK
@vicente947 I'm having a bit of trouble with the gui side of the permissions system...
I really did NOT intend it on being this long for a release, in fact, I hate that it's taking this long. But it's really hard to make this new gui system work.
When are you going to update? Can you do a tutorial for do groups please
@Free_hugz_4_life
At some time, permissions get cut off by the window size because there is no scroll bar....
You know, I hate swing.
Getting closer to finishing the PailPlus multiworld permission editor. Hopefully... >.>
Teaser anyone? http://blogs.feildmaster.com/dev/pailplus-permissions-teaser
This is what I'm working on for the next version: http://blogs.feildmaster.com/dev/pailplus-mutliworld
It needs multiworld support :'(
So does the plugin currently not support user group permissions or am I simply not able to figure it out? ^^
Edit: Looks like that is planned for the future, good. One thing you may want to consider is that users can piece permissions together from dropdown menus for the plugins. For example, you'd have the setup:
The lines would represent dropdown menus. You'd choose a plugin with permission support from the first box (pail would of course only display currently installed plugins), as soon as that is done the second dropdown menu would be accessible which then would allow for the selection of the next part, depending on what plugin was choosen and which permissions it allows for. Then the next menu etc. until "you can't go deeper".
or something like that...
That would make setting up permissions so much easier. Having to dig through documentations for each plugin to find the correct permissions is a nightmare.
@Free_hugz_4_life
What OS are you using? Also, what version of Java are you using?
yes i am having the same problem, my nodes get cut off so i cant add anymore nodes :( please fix this
@atrayan
Thank you, I'll be enhancing and updating this plugin soon, after I get my blog up and running!
This is pretty cool, the perms gui is really what caught my eye.
