NightSensor / Reverse Daylight Sensor
Notice
Vanilla Minecraft 1.8 includes switchable sensors, yay.
NightSensor
NightSensor allows you to turn a regular Daylight Sensor into a Night Sensor which acts the opposite way as the old one did.
The transformed sensors won't be powered between tick 13700 and 22310, other than that (at night) they are going to be fully powered (15 redstone strength).
Commands
Enter this command to transform a sensor (you have to right click on a sensor
afterwards):
/nightsensor
To remove a sensor just destroy it with a punch.
Permissions
nightsensor.admin
description: Allows you to create and destroy Night Sensors.
default: op
Config
work without command: false (if true right clicking a sensor will register it
anytime)
display messages: true (wether you get messages after registering and destroying
sensors)
admin destroy only: true (if true players without permission are prevented from
destroying nightsensors)
Planned features
- configurable dawn and dusk ticks
- configurable check interval (?)
- command to remove registered but not present sensors (cleanup)
- command to list sensors
- more accurate opposition of the original signal strength (maybe configurable)
Thanks to
- yurisuika for suggesting new features
@Exilednathan
I think it has problems with the 1.8 switchable sensors :3
Easy to use plugin, old, and still works. :)
@ChillerKraft
Um, did it fix it?
k :D
@ChillerKraft
I believe it is a minor bug in the plugin, please set 'admin destroy only' to true. I will upload a fixed version soon.
my nightsensor was working in my main world but they would randomly stop working in the other world i was using them in, all of them. i checked the confignightsensorlist and they all dissapear from there eventually, idk why but i wish i could get around this or find another way to make a simple nightsensor
does work for 1.7.9 or .10? :( my nightsensors just keep turning into regular sensors (most of them, one of them seems to be fine but not my skyblock nightsensors

@adventuretc What's the point of this? There's a little something called inverters... :P
@adventuretc
Most excellent! Thank you very much for this update and the plugin!
No problem, I was just letting you know.
I will just have to script the lighting with vt.
Still a good plugin though, I can use it for other things.
@Mistermastermine
I can't make it work with Craftbook, sorry.
Just to let you know it will not work directly with glass to glowstone (Craftbook)
A day sensor on top of glass in the day will turn the glass into glowstone, then back to glass at night, I was hoping to use this to make my lights, but when I change them into nightsensors they always stay glass.
Great plug in though, it's what these sensors should have been from the start.
@yurisuika
Releasing it right now :))
@Blm79
Update your java installation please, it will work.
Wonderful plugin, makes for very nice streetlights and the likes. If at all possible, would you consider making it so one only has to right-click on a daylight sensor to toggle it (and with the option to disable the notification messages)?
Running great in 1.7.2!
@adventuretc
Yes, i got this on start:
@Blm79
Did it broke?
No update available for 1.7.2/1.7.4? Il love this plugin!
@Kino876
So whenever a sensor is placed it should be registered as a nightsensor? If so, I will make it. btw, I don't want to make this feature complicated, so it will only monitor user placing, not worldediting or anything else.
