NBTEdit
NBTEdit
DISCONTINUED SORRY
Nbt edit is a plugin designed to allow you to edit the NBT data in minecraft via commands. The best way to describe what it does would be to show some examples, Assuming the player had the required permissions the player could use commands such as:
/nbt set spaced name here
while holding an item to rename it. or the player could do:
/nbt add lore spaced lore line here
while holding an item too add a line of lore to it. The plugin also allows for fireworks editing, for example: if the player was to do the command below while holding a firework:
/fw set power 2
it would set the flight duration of the firework to 2, note it will not let you set above three as unmodified clients will crash with power values above 3
For more detailed examples and command usage make sure to visit the wiki, also as there are only two permission nodes for convenience they are listed below:
- NBTEdit.nbt for using the /nbt command
- NBTEdit.fireworks for using the /fw command
Features Include
- Editing enchantments
- Editing item lore

Feedback
Please make sure you give feedback, especially if you are having issues with the plugin so i can attempt to fix them as soon as possible.
Please Donate
It is truly appreciated the money that has been donated (And any future donations!), it certainly helps motivate me to go that extra step that's for sure! The more donations I get the more time I can spend writing plugins :)
Veeery nice, I was wondering if this supports colored names for items? If so, how would I implement this via one of your commands? Anyway, you have put together a very nice plugin here, good work!
@diannetea
what icky errors? :[ And Yeah I'm working on it :) But remember the most functionality from me will be pure renaming of the animal; I'm not going to build a pet system... but I will put pet renaming under a different permission node if you like :) Hmm I think i need to make use of the ticket system so you guys can submit features because I don't spend much time as a moderator/admin anymore I've lost touch of what needs to be done
I'm looking at some pet/animal naming things and I'm just wondering if that's out of the bounds of this plugin? I think technically it's NBT data that is being edited.
Ugh and the plugin loads fine, but it's still giving me icky errors when I try to use it.
@kenny608uk
Well your lucky renaming the spawner egg and it will work like expected (colors included) Best part about this was i didn't have to update any code!, I will look into mob spawners it seems entirely possible :)
Hey, Any chance of spawner editing in 1.5?
@diannetea Preparing a super cleaned up release now + wiki updates
@Sandboxwin
That's bizarre, it's giving me the errors even on a clean build of spigot with no other plugins. Is there a dependency that I might be missing?
I was using the March 10 release
@diannetea I ran it fine on build #603 of spigot (Re downloaded #603 just now and tested)
I also ran it fine on the latest build of spigot #617, also this is my bad but are you using the Feb 21 release of the March 10 release? I forgot to update the plugin.yml in the March 10 release so it says v0.1.0 when loading the plugin in console instead of v0.1.1b
Using Spigot build #603

Take your time. We can wait but that stuff sometimes can't. It's more important. :P
@alex3341
Got some college/Uni Stuff going on but will try and push something major through soon!
I would love an update :D
Who wants an update :P
@gameroy8
Wow thanks for telling me how you fixed it!
@alex3341
Didn't even think of potions, sure can!
@Sandboxwin
FIXED:
I somehow came to an idea to look at my starter.bat file, i replaced with the new one from the craftbukkit wiki, and it worked.
the old file was
@ECHO OFF SET BINDIR=%dp0 CD /D "%BINDIR%" "%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar craftbukkit.jar PAUSE
the new file is just a simple
java -Xms1024M -Xmx1024M -jar craftbukkit.jar -o true PAUSE
Hope this helps someone! can't believe it was so simple.
i hope i can get this fixed because im having the same issue with another plugin. I'm guessing its something with java but it keeps saying that i have the latest version.

I tested again on my server with latest java and bukkit with no other plugins. and still got this error.
Could you possibly add the editing of potions? Like how long they last, what effect it gives, and the level of effect?
@gameroy8
Alright, this sounds bad can you pm me a pastebin or something of the error?
It has been nearly a day since you had the issue, can you please notify me if you fixed it so I am aware of what it was and how it was fixed. Thanks Sand
