motd
Download (1.12.1 ready): v1.3-alpha1
Overview
motd is a lightweight MOTD and basic command plugin for your minecraft server.
There are lots of 'basic commands' plugins around here, but most of them have lots of features you will never need - or they do not allow you to deactivate them easily. They often cause lag and make configuring your server a pain in the * because there is no documentation.
With motd I made a simple, yet powerful plugin for creating advanced, custom colored and formatted MOTDs, who lists and rules. If you do not have the time to always be around on your server, rtp and vtime can help you. Even if you decide to install permissions on your server, motd is ready for that change.
Commands
- who
- rtp [playername / yes]
- vtime [dawn / day / evening / night]
- ip
- motd
- rules
Permissions Nodes
- motd.ip.use
- motd.who.use
- motd.rtp.yes
- motd.rtp.request
- motd.vtime.use
- motd.rules.use
- motd.motd.use
- motd.edit
- motd.reload
note that motd.rtp.request includes motd.rtp.yes
This seems to still work with 1.4.2, is zweizeichen still monitoring this?

Hi. I've been running this plugin on my server and it's great. The problem is, when using the /vtime feature, I find it spams the chat A LOT. Especially when there's 15+ people online, and everyone is voting like crazy. I was wondering if there's a way to edit the message to possibly shorten it myself, or a way to turn off specific messages. If there's not, could you include it in the next update?
I type /motd reload and it tells me I don't have the permissions to do this.
Yet I have all permissions and op status.
Sorry for my recent inactivity - the project is not dead!
Zwei, I saw a weather class files, will /vote weather be implemented? I have been finding for it forever!
Hi, I've been using your plugin forever and I love it! I was wondering however, could you make the vtimes per world? because I find that everyone has to vote for one world even though they're not in it. Thanks!
Sincerely, eriorkless

@Zectric
motd 1.2_BETA2 is fully compatible with the latest CB build (#2034) supporting Minecraft 1.2.3 :)
is this updated to 1.2.X? If not please try, i know you have a lot of work.
oh, and BTW GREAT plugin, this is probable one of the best plugins on my server
Try the new beta please. It has updated event handling for /motd and /rtp.
Thanks for doing superperms and such
and you were right about the reload thing; I just didn't think about that. Glad to see that this plugin is still alive; a nice simple motd plugin is very welcome.
