Spawn Points
Spawn points are used to make monsters spawn at a specific location on a timer. This timer is saved between server restarts.
YOU MUST HAVE SPAWN POINTS ENABLED IN THE CONFIG.
Commands:
/ma addspawnpoint <name> <creaturetype> <period> <count> <lightmin> <lightmax> <chance>
name: Name of the spawnpoint.
creaturetype: The type of creature to spawn, generally use all one string, all lowercase (IE: zombie, cavespider, pigzombie)
period: how often in seconds to spawn the mob (int)
count: how many mobs to spawn, each takes its own chance so you can have 2 and 50%, and get 0-2 mobs. (int)
lightmin and max: sets the light levels required for this spawnpoint to spawn (int)
chance: what percent of the time the spawn should be successful (double)
Example: /ma addspawnpoint zombies Zombie 30 1 0 15 100
/ma removespawnpoint <name>
Example: /ma removespawnpoint zombies
/ma set<property> <name> <value>
Changes the flag on a point.
Valid flags: chance, count, lightmax, lightmin, period, pos(takes from your position), type, x, y, z.
Example: /ma setcount zombies 100
/ma properties <name>
Returns all of the region's properties.
Example: /ma properties zombies
/ma get<property> <name>
Returns the current value of this flag.
Example: /ma getcount zombies
/ma listspawnpoints
Lists all spawn points in your current world.
problem with command, i'm using mob arena so the command is used for mobarena :/
@DarkFusioN007
/monsterapocalypse <stuff>
@gdude2002
That will work yea, but Mobarena commands are done using /MA which is also used for MonsterApoc. so the two interfer with each other.
@burntim69
All you guys have to do is use an alias such as /moba or as said monster apocolypse. The plugins do not interfer with eachother
I am not using mobarena.. Though my problem is that when I do /ma command.. it just lets me know the proper synax of the command. It actually never follows through that I know of.
@dreadfullydespized
same problem. did you find a solution?
This never works. Just keep getting /ma (Monster Apocalypse SpawnPoint Command) [name] args...
typing /ma addspawnpoint zombie1 Zombie 30 10 0 15 10 in the console just ouptuts "/ma (Monster Apocalypse SpawnPoint Command) [name] args..." in the chat window and doesn't execute. This also happens when using the /monsterapocalypse alias.
I agree with Arayjay
Works for me! (it works for 1.4)
Attention everyone having issues.
It works for me I followed these instructions completely.
On 1.4.6 Beta R3
FIRST -
at top of config it has:
Worlds: - world
Add you're world in there if you are using multiverse or a different world name. And remember to add you're world to the bonus spawns option and also these settings
Enable spawn points?: true Allow this MA installation to register the spawnpoint command?: true Monster Apocalypse.spawnpoints: true
Can't get spawn points to work at all. Enable spawn points?: true Allow this MA installation to register the spawnpoint command?: true
MathewFallen notes "Monster Apocalypse.spawnpoints: true" But I don't see this line anywhere in my config file.
I keep just getting /ma (Monster Apocalypse SpawnPoint Command) [name] args... in reply to ANY /ma command. Would love any help!
When spawn points are added, do zombies still spawn if your out of range? Im trying to make sure that if i put a spawn down it wont keep spawning zombies even though nobody is near it. Im worried the zombies will keep coming and the server will take a performance hit.
@wez1981 use mobage, it works for 1.4.7, and can configure the range at wich they will spawn at, time of living with out interaction, and amount per block distance of player. Very powerful plugin, and I say it is a must for this plugin
@lurid I've been trying to mess around with mobage but still my giant spawners either spawn 9 million while people aren't around, or despawn them after about 30 seconds, do you have a good config to balance giant spawns? they seem to be the only ones that do this.
@Baronjutter i have the same problem minus i added Monster Apocalypse.spawnpoints to my perms, but i get that same message you do no matter what:/ma (Monster Apocalypse SpawnPoint Command) [name] args...
