MobspawnSettings
MobspawnSettings
This mod allows you to control how many mobs will spawn. You can control the settings for both peaceful and aggressive mobs.
Functionality:
- You can choose which events should be controlled (chunkspawning, normal spawning etc).
- You can choose for every mobtype individually:
- . If every mob should spawn or only every second, third, forth etc. Whether a mob spawns or not is chosen by random.
- . How many mobs spawn when minecraft intends to only spawn one mob. You can set a minimum and maximum amount of mobs to spawn where the one mob should spawn, the amount of mobs spawning will be a random number between minimum and maximum.
Feel free to ask any question! Feedback is appreciated :-)
Intended use
It's supposed to make a minecraft server more fun.
Examples: If you're missing Zombies, you can easily increase their amount. If you're annoyed of all the creepers destroying your town, you can decrease their amount drastically, so you don't have creeperholes everywhere If you are really lacking pigs, you can increase their amount too.
Config
For the config, please read here
Commandline
Reload the config.yml file: /msreload
Helping / Getting involved
I appreciate all the help I can get. Both filing bug reports (please create tickets, don't use the comments) and submitting patches for bugs and new features is helpful and makes you an awesome person ;-)
If you have any questions about the source code, don't hesitate to ask.
I would be very grateful if you could license forks under a license similar to zlib license, but since it's licensed under the zlib license, you can basically use whatever license you want to. Telling me about forks would be really awesome, too :D

@sycoso
Thank you for replying! If there is any possibility that Spigot can caused it? That is my only concern actually.
@kSheng8468
Which minecraft version and plugin version are you using? And could you please post your config? (on pastebin!) Did they all spawn simultaneously? And you have no idea what could have caused it?
IDK what to say but it spawned 9200 mobs in my server and it crashed
how do i increase zombie amount
Hi, if I wanted it so that players can't make op pigmen grinders using portals, could I reduce zombie pigmen spawning?
@der_Kernschatten
Yes :)
Am I correct in my understanding, that with the following config, all passive mob spawning by chunkgen and natural spawn will be increased, but aggressive mobs will be unaffected?

@EmberC
According to MCStats 60% of the users have game version 1.7. I think it should work. (Haven't tested it myself)
Does this work with 1.7?
@Bluemarien
This plugin doesn't directly tinker with the spawning system. It can only decrease spawning and create waves.
What would the configuration file look somewhat like if I wanted to increase the number of animals that spawn? Minecraft has the new spawning system where it rarely spawns mobs, but can this plugin help to rejuvenate the passive mob population? Thank you!
@sycoso
Alright then, I'll be waitin', but many thanks for your good work, keep it up!
I don't know yet. Currently I don't have time for it... I'll look into it at the end of december.
@Fil1312
I would also like to know the answer to this.
Hello Syco,
I wish to ask you, if you're planning to update this plugin to 1.7, or if it will by discontinued. Thanks for answer.

@Fuusko
My plugin can only replace single spawn events with spawn waves and limit spawning. It's completely based upon minecrafts spawn algorithm! TL;DR: Sorry, but this plugin won't help you.
I have a world with waterlevel set to 120, this makes some mobs not spawn at all and I am looking to solve this with custom spawn plugins. Is there a way to select min/max height for a mob to spawn using your plugin?
Mobs that don't spawn like they should in my world: Slimes, Horses, Squids, Ocelotes
@rhisis1988
It would look something like this: http://pastebin.com/faqad6gK
No, you can't. But that sounds like a good idea. Feel free to open a ticket suggesting that feature.
I would like to control animal spawning, so that animals do not spawn naturally, only with the use of spawn eggs and breeding. How would this go?
Also, can I limit the amount of agressive mobs per chunk with this plugin?
This is Reall Perfect Plugin :D
Thankyou:D My Sever is not have again monster,animal too manyspawn Lag!
Thankyou :D
